بحيرة ساوة من البحيرات السياحية المهمة في العراق وهي بحيرة مغلقة، تقع في هضبة العراق الجنوبية في المنطقة  الجافة، اغلب تغذيتها جوفية، ولا يوجد مصدر مائي سطحي واضح تتغذى منه. تم اجراء عملية مسح طبوغرافي لأول مرة لهذه البحيرة، لجرف البحيرة الصخري وقاعها وسواحلها وتم اكتشاف ثلاث عيون مائية تغذيها لها خصائص جيومورفية مميزة تقع منتصف البحيرة تنبع من اعماق بعيدة، تم استخدام أجهزة المسح الطبوغرافي ذات الدقة ال

A new, simple, accurate, fast and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been
developed for the analysis of Pyrocatechol, Resorcinol, and pyrogallolin pure
commercial samples by continuous flow injection analysis. The method was based on
the oxidation of the organic compounds with Ce(IV)sulfate in acidic medium to
formed a brown colored species which determined using homemade Ayah 3SBGR x3-
3D solar cell flow injection microphotometer. Optimum conditions were obtained
using a high intensity green light emitted diode as an irradiation source
forPyrocatechol, Resorcinol, whileblue light emitted diode as an irradiation source for

Studying the spatially distribution pattern of fuel station in province of Baghdad
was done by utilizing GIS techniques which they are the most powerful tools for
design, display and analysis for the spatial data. Nearest Neighbor Analysis method
was applied for analyzing the spatial distributions of the fuel stations. Baghdad was
considered to be divided in to two main parts (outskirts of Baghdad and center of
Baghdad). The nearest neighbour for all parts of Baghdad indicates for the
distribution pattern is random and differs from place to another in randomly rate.

Hepatitis E (HE) is an inflammation of the liver caused by hepatitis E virus
(HEV) infection. Iraq is one of the Asian countries with high incidence and
prevalence of hepatitis. In this paper, HE prevalence will be determined in Al-
Muthanna province /Iraq. Commercially available Micro-ELISA for marker of
hepatitis E (HEV IgM, Foresight, USA) kit was used to test (270) patients for HEV
IgMantibodies. Also (10) blood samples from normal healthy individuals were used
as normal control in this study. Among the (270) analyzed serum samples, a total of
(72) samples (26.66 %) were found to be positive for anti-HEV IgM antibodies, and
all these patients were tested for confirmatory test at central public health
labora

In this study it was found that a significant decrease in the level of leptin in young
Iraqi smokers (16+ 0.7ng/mL) compared to non smokers(24.2+ 4.5ng/mL) while, B2
microglobulin and CRPwas significantly increased in the smokers (1.2 + 0.3μg/mL),
(4.07+ 0.02mg/L) respectively, compared to non smokers (0.6 + 0.9μg/mL) ,( 2.88+
0.002mg/L) respectively, the presented data indicates the effect of smoking on these
immunological markers.

In this paper a measure of linear local dependence has been used between two
random variables and a study is conducted for the properties of this measure where
two examples of bivariate probability distributions has been considered, which are
bivariate Gumbel distribution and bivariate Beta-Stacy distribution, and applied on
data collected by using a questionnaire conducted to study the reasons for the
increase of application in private collages in Iraq. Five elements has been considered
as random variables and the dependence has been measured between every two
elements to estimate how correlated these elements are and their effect on the

A simple, fast, and sensitive batch and flow injection spectrophotometric
methods have been developed for the determination of clonazepam(CZP) in pure
form and in pharmaceutical preparations. The proposed methods are based on the
oxidative coupling reaction of the reduced clonazepam using Zn powders and conc.
HCl with payrocatechol and in the presence of ferric sulphate. The resulting reddish
colored product had a maximum absorbance at 515 nm. The optimum reaction
conditions and other analytical parameters have been evaluated . The linear ranges
for the batch and FI methods determination of CZP were 0.5-32, 50-400 μg mL-1
and the detection limits were 0.193, 22.60 μg mL-1 for both methods respectively.

Seventy-six urine specimens were collected from of patients suffering from recurrent
urinary tract infections (UTIs). Specimens were bacteriologically analyzed, fifty
(65.8%) of isolated bacterial strains were belonged to E.coli. 100% of isolated
uropathogenic E.coli (UPEC)strains displayed a biofilm positive phenotype under
optimized condition using microtiter plate assay. 21 of E.coli strains classified as highly
positive biofilm producers (42%), and 29 (58%) as weakly positive biofilm producers.

this article presents four cuneiform tablets from the confiscated collection in the Iraq Museum in Baghdad. The texts likely originate from the Umma provenance and are dated to the reigne of Amarsuen (AS9) and šusuen (šS2) of the Ur III dynasty. The tablets contain information about the field Ageština, which is also mentioned in Ur III texts. We trace the location of a- ša₃-a-ge štin-na,the area of the Ageština, and agricultural processes through additional texts available in the BDTNS database, complementing the information found in our unpublished texts.

Hydrogeochemical analyses were done for UmErduhuma aquifer in S-W Iraq which have got cation and anion concentrations . This study shows the origin of the water is rainfall except well No.2 where is marine . the chemical of the water type of the wells No. 3,4,5,6, and 7 are calisum-sulfate while the wells No. 1 and 2 are sodium- sulfate . They are useful to irrigation jobs but they are not use in a human activity without biological and chemical treatment . The hydrodynamic study shows that the hydrodynamic activity is high so that hydro carbonic accumulation is a little , except well No.(2).
