The Combined Economic Emission Dispatch (CEED) problem is crucial for optimizing power system operation by minimizing costs and emissions while ensuring grid stability and meeting demand. This paper addresses the complex, nonlinear, and nonconvex nature of CEED, arising from factors like valve-point effects and transmission losses, which necessitates efficient metaheuristic algorithms. We introduce an Improved Zebra Optimization Algorithm (IMZOA), an enhanced bio-inspired technique integrating advanced adaptive foraging and dynamic defense mechanisms, along with a cubic function for CEED modeling, to improve search efficiency and convergence. IMZOA demonstrates significant numerical improvements, achieving up to a 0.80 % cost reduction for the six-unit system compared to the standard Zebra Optimization Algorithm (ZOA), minimizing hourly fuel cost to $69,563.04 for the Iraqi system, and exhibiting competitive performances with a fuel cost of $197,974.2047 per hour for the 110-unit system. IMZOA's effectiveness is validated on three benchmark systems: a six-unit IEEE test system, the 31-unit Iraqi power generation system, and a large-scale 110-unit system. Experimental results show that IMZOA significantly reduces costs and emissions compared to established algorithms like LM and SA, and improved methods such as asinhCAOA, RLADE, and the standard Zebra Optimization Algorithm ZOA. Specifically, for the six-unit system, IMZOA also showed superior environmental performance. For the Iraqi system, IMZOA outperformed PSO and other state-of-the-art approaches. Moreover, for the 110-unit system, IMZOA demonstrated competitive performance comparable to advanced algorithms like EBWO and ESNS, while maintaining lower standard deviations, indicating greater solution stability. These results underscore IMZOA's robustness and efficiency for small, medium, and large-scale CEED problems, making it a promising solution for cost-effective and environmentally sustainable power dispatch.
Four Co(II), (C1); Ni(II), (C2); Cu(II), (C3) and Zn(II), (C4) chelates have been synthesized with 1-(4-((2-amino- 5‑methoxy)diazenyl)phenyl)ethanone ligand (L). The produced compounds have been identified by using spectral studies, elemental analysis (C.H.N.O), conductivity and magnetic properties. The produced metal chelates were studied using molar ratio as well as sequences contrast types. Rate of concentration (1 ×10 4 - 3 ×10 4 Mol/L) sequence Beer’s law. Compound solutions have been noticed height molar absorptivity. The free of ligand and metal chelates had been applied as disperse dyes on cotton fabrics. Furthermore, the antibacterial activity of the produced compounds against various bacteria had been investigated. F

This evolution included the sports field, which had a large space in the aspect of development and for all disciplines, Therefore, it's reflected today in what we see of records and advanced achievements in sporting events and activities. The development in the field of sports was the result of scientific research (Hussein and Jawad., 2022), where the interest in the training process has become one of the most important pillars of the development of achievement (Neamah and Altay., 2020). The shooting sport has also witnessed a remarkable development due to the diversity and development of its

Show MoreThe Southern Cowpea Beetle Callosobruchus maculatus (F.) is one of the most widespread insect pests of stored legumes, causing a considerable loss during storage, decreasing the net weight of the crops, and resulting in reduced the quality of the crops. This study has been conducted to determine the lifetime, fertility and life table parameters of C. maculatus by using an alkaloids extract from Moringa oleifera leaves at different concentrations 1000, 2000, and 3000 ppm. The result was shown that the lowest survival rate was 49% at a concentration of 1000, 2000 ppm, as compared with the control which was 77%. The lowest reproductive rate (Ro) was 4.76 female/female/generation at the concentration of 1000 ppm, c

The present study aimed to determine the effect of aluminum potassium sulfate addition into the soft liner on tensile strength and peel bond strength. The effect of aluminum potassium sulfate evaluated by two methods, first one include incorporation of KAL (SO4)2 into soft liner monomer in concentration (2%,3% by wt.) while the second method include immersion of soft liner specimens in solution of KAL(SO4)2 in concentration(5%,10% percent) during time periods (0,10 minutes). In conclusions, the results of current study encourage use KAL (SO4)2 within soft liner material
The problem of Multicollinearity is one of the most common problems, which deal to a large extent with the internal correlation between explanatory variables. This problem is especially Appear in economics and applied research, The problem of Multicollinearity has a negative effect on the regression model, such as oversized variance degree and estimation of parameters that are unstable when we use the Least Square Method ( OLS), Therefore, other methods were used to estimate the parameters of the negative binomial model, including the estimated Ridge Regression Method and the Liu type estimator, The negative binomial regression model is a nonline
