This article is devoted to the cognitive study of ironic metonymy in Russian and Arabic. Metonymy and irony have traditionally been seen as parallel linguistic phenomena. But their formation and interpretation are based on different cognitive mechanisms. At the formal and functional level, metonymy and irony have a number of significant differences. Metonymy is an artistic technique, the mechanism of which is based on obvious, easily traced connections between objects and phenomena of the surrounding world. Irony is a satirical technique or a rhetorical figure that is used to create a certain artistic image, aimed at forming the hidden meaning of the statement. The research aims to identify motivated to join the Evening Studies students to the College of Education at the University of Tikrit sections. In addition to knowledge of the differences in the degree of motivation of students according to gender, specialty, educational stage. The present research aims at identifying the effect of the cognitive discrepancy strategy on the fourth-stage students’ achievement in literature and texts. The researcher adopted the null hypothesis: there is no statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average grades of the experimental group who study literature and texts following the discrepancies strategy, and those who follow the traditional method. The current research aimed to explore the practicing of cyber bullying among college students as well as the differences of practicing cyber bullying among university students based on gender variable. The finding revealed that there was a high prevalence rate for cyber bullying among research sample who was students from Baghdad University. It assured clearly that this group participated in cyber bullying effectively, due to the biological and psychological factors which make them super sensitive toward the social and economic problems. Moreover, the results showed that there were significant differences between male and female in practicing cyber bullying. The study proved that women use cyber bulling more than men.  

The current study aims to identify the introspective awareness of the study sample, as well as to identify the introspective awareness of the study sample in terms of gender.
