Obese Women and Choosing Ready-made Clothes: Difficulties and Choices
...Show More Authors

Thisstudy aims to determine the specifications of obese women accordingto the heightand type of obesity. It also aimstoidentify the significance of differences in choosing ready-made clothes for the research sample. Finally, the significance of differences in choosing ready-made clothes according to the variable of binaryclassification ofobesity is also identified. The study sample includes obese women: employees, non-employees and students with the age group (18-50) years. The weights and lengths of the sample have been taken to suit the group of obese women.Aquestionnaire in the form of an open question was distributed among (50) obese womenso as to extract the items of the questionnaire. After that, the questionnaire was distributed among (100) obese women to obtain answers. Thedata were statistically analyzed and the BMI indicated thatthere were four types of obesity for the sample studied: overweight and high obesity, very high obesity, excessive obesity, and obese to the extreme.Itwas called abinary classification. The first type included (42) obese women, whilethe second type included (58) obese women .The bodies of the sample were identified: (22%)of the sample representedshort obese women, the ratio of (68%) represented obese women of medium-length, and the proportion of (10%)represented tall obese women. It has become clear through the recognition of the significance of differences when choosing clothes in general, that  they areall statistically significantexcept for the seventh item (the best clothes are those with dark-colors, because they make me look thinner). Besides, there are no individual differencesin the sample responses in favor of the answer (sometimes) at the rate of (5.180).

The Role of Binary Settings in John Updike’s Short Stories: A Structuralist Approach: مؤيد انوية ججو الجماني
...Show More Authors

John Updike’s use of setting in his fiction has elicited different and even conflicting reactions from critics, varying from symbolic interpretations of setting to a sense of confusion at his use of time and place in his stories.  The present study is an attempt at examining John Updike’s treatment of binary settings in Pigeon Feathers and Other Stories (1962) to reveal theme, characters’ motives and conflicts.  Analyzing Updike’s stories from a structuralist’s perspective reveals his employment of two different places and times in the individual stories as a means of reflecting the psychological state of the characters, as in “The Persistence of Desire”, or expressing conflicting views on social and political is

Multilayer Perceptron for analyzing satellite data
...Show More Authors

Different ANN architectures of MLP have been trained by BP and used to analyze Landsat TM images. Two different approaches have been applied for training: an ordinary approach (for one hidden layer M-H1-L & two hidden layers M-H1-H2-L) and one-against-all strategy (for one hidden layer (M-H1-1)xL, & two hidden layers (M-H1-H2-1)xL). Classification accuracy up to 90% has been achieved using one-against-all strategy with two hidden layers architecture. The performance of one-against-all approach is slightly better than the ordinary approach

Clinical effects of Arabic gum (Acacia): A mini review
...Show More Authors

Gum Arabic is a natural gummy exudate gained from the trees of Acacia species (Acacia senegal and Acacia seyal), Family: Fabaceae. Gum Arabic considers as a dietary fiber with a high percentage of carbohydrates and low protein content. Sugars arabinose and ribose were originally discovered and isolated from gum Arabic and it is representing the original source of these sugars. A gum emanation from trees occurs under stress conditions such as heat, poor soil fertility, drought, and injury. Mainly gum is produced in belt region of Africa, mainly Sudan, Chad, and Nigeria. In the food industry, it is used in confectionery; in the pharmaceutical industry, it is used as emulsifier, film coating and others. Traditionally the g

Balloon Valvoplasty of Severe Aortic Valve Stenosis Following Badly Planed Midline Thoracotomy
...Show More Authors

Aortic valve replacement (AVR) is the gold standard method for management of severe aortic stenosis (AS), with transcatheter balloon valvoplasty (BAV) increasingly used as palliative option for calcified valve in experienced hand. In the AVR era, BAV was not considered a long-term definitive treatment for severe calcific AS due to a high restenosis rate and short durability of gradient improvement. However, it continues to have an important role as a bridge-to-decision or bridge-to-intervention in cases where definitive therapy must be delayed due to clinical instability, imaging uncertainty or failed trial of surgical valve replacement. We report a case of heavily calcified AS in an adolescent female, in which the calcification in
