Characterization and antibacterial activity of biogenic iron nanoparticles using Proteus mirabilis
...Show More Authors
Abstract
<title>Background:

The green production of iron oxide nanoparticles (FeONPs) due to its numerous biotechnological uses has attracted a lot of attention and clean and eco-friendly approaches in the medical field.

Objectives:

The objectives of this study are to demonstrate the biogenic creation of FeONPs. The search for alternative antimicrobial medicines has been prompted by growing worries about multidrug resistance.

Materials and Methods:

The purpose of this work was to investigate if Proteus mirabilis was the source of green-manufactured iron nanoparticles (INPs). The Fourier transform infrared, attenuated total reflectance, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, ultraviolet–visible, and dynamic light scattering measurements were used to characterize the green synthesized nanoparticles (NPs). Using the agar-well diffusion method, the antibacterial investigation’s efficacy was evaluated.

Results:

The results found that at 128 μg/mL minimum inhibitory concentration, we have demonstrated the potent antibacterial properties of FeONPs produced through biological procedures against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria that are resistant to many drugs. These NPs, including their antimicrobial qualities, how they work, how they affect drug-resistant microbes, the risks involved with using them, the unique qualities of NPs, their mode of action as antibacterial properties, and the elements that influence how well they function in a therapeutic setting all are thoroughly investigated.

Conclusion:

Further research on biogenic INPs was necessary to enhance their nanopharmacological importance for biological applications, as they have demonstrated promising biomedical capabilities were successfully synthesized in a friendly environment with few costs, and the highly INPs product showed exceptional activity against bacterial strains.

The impact of the flipped classroom strategy on developing the communication skills in classes among art education students
...Show More Authors

The technology and modern social communication medias have contributed to changing many of our concepts about education to a large extent; these technological advancements have created new challenges for the Instructor of course, but on the other hand it did provided him with expressive media, models and strategies that the old methods cannot fulfill, including the flipped classroom strategy, which is one of the modern technical solutions and in it's optimal use it can correct the weakness of the traditional education and can develop the communication skills as a whole among the students, in order to create a positive, active and interactive student.
The current research contained - four chapters: the first one included the methodolog

Post-interactive communication A study to build a model for the flow of communication in social networking sites
...Show More Authors

The issue of the research lies in the non-representation of the models developed for the communication process in the interaction and networking processes through social media, as the research sought to build a network model of communication according to the specific data and features of social media platforms in order to reach a special generalization to understand how the process of networking operates in cyberspace.

The researcher followed the analytical survey approach as she described the communication models outwardly in order to be able to build a networked communication model that represents the flow of post-reactive communication. Therefore, it has been named "Nebula - Sadeem" after the concept of post-space and cosmic g

Retrieval of Migrated Guidewire Extending From Right Ventricular Apex to the Inferior Vena Cava via Pigtail-Assisted Snaring
...Show More Authors

Intravascular embolisation of foreign bodies (FB) is a rare, serious complication that may occur during central venous line insertion. A 39-yearold male in a critical condition presented to casualty department with a through-and-through chest gunshot wound. Chest X-ray showed left haemothorax; an urgent chest tube was introduced and central venous access was introduced via the right femoral vein. The guided wire used in the procedure was unintentionally pushed to reach the right ventricular apex. Echocardiography confirmed FB location. Once stabilised, the patient was referred to Iraqi Centre of Cardiac Diseases, where transcatheter retrieval was performed. To stabilise the FB, a 6F pigtail catheter was used to create a U-shaped loop in the

Prospective Comparative Study of Fixing Displaced Transverse Patellar Fracture by Tension Band Wiring Versus Cannulated Screws with Wiring
...Show More Authors

BACKGROUND: Transverse fractures of the patella are important fractures with a wide variety of subtypes, the common incidence in the age group of 20–50 years. Surgical interference aims to achieve a perfect alignment of the joint surface, in addition to rigid fixation of the fracture for early re-habitation and early movement to retain the extensor mechanism of the knee joint. AIM: The aim of this study was to compare the radiological and functional outcomes of the displaced transverse patella fracture in adult patients treated by ORIF using tension band wiring versus cannulated screws with wiring. METHODS: A prospective analytic comparative study was conducted in Al-Kindy Teaching Hospital/Baghdad/Iraq for 18 months from Apr
