The aim of this research is to prepare a set of complexes with the general formula [M(HMB)n] , where M=VO (II) , Cr(III) and Cu(II) while  n=2,3,2 respectively resulting from the reaction of anew ligand [N'-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzyl)-4-methylbenzohydrazide] (HMB) derived from the reaction of the tow substances (4-methylbenzohydrazide  and 2-hydroxy-3-methoxy benzaldehyde) with metal ions. The prepared compounds were identified by several spectroscopic methods such as Infrared, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Electronic Spectra. From the results of the measurements, it was suggested that the prepared complexes have different geometries such as square planar (Cu), square pyramidal (VO) and octahedral (Cr). DFT simulations backed up

Augmented Reality (AR) is one of the technological developments in recent years that uses the real world as a basic pillar and enhances it by overlaying virtual objects created by computers. The study provides an overview of the use of augmented reality technology in meeting one of the most important requirements of cultural tourism: highlighting cultural and historical heritage. Accordingly, the research problem concentrated on the lack of local literature associated with the use of augmented reality in cultural tourism. It aimed to fill this gap by building a knowledge base and demonstrating the potential of augmented reality in this field. Hence, the importance of research in drawing the attention of tourism practitio

Introduction and Investigation into Oil Well Logging Operations (Review)

Oil well logging, also known as wireline logging, is a method of collecting data from the well environment to determine subterranean physical properties and reservoir parameters. Measurements are collected against depth along the well's length, and many types of wire cabling tools depend on the physical property of interest. Well probes generally has a dynamic respon to changes in rock layers and fluid composition. These probes or well logs are legal documents that record the history of a well during the drilling stages until its completion. Well probes record the physical properties of the well, which must then be interpreted in petrographic terms to obtain the characteristics of the rocks and flui

In this paper we use the Markov Switching model to investigate the link between the level of Iraqi inflation and its uncertainty; forth period 1980-2010 we measure inflation uncertainty as the variance of unanticipated  inflation. The results ensure there are a negative effect of inflation level on inflation uncertainty and  all so there are a positive effect of inflation uncertainty on inflation level.                                                   &nbsp

Using ACI-19 to Analysis and Design a Spiral RC Staircase

This study aims to reduce the time and effort required to design an economical spiralstaircase according to the latest ACI code. Geometrically, the spiral staircase is a complex 3Dstructure subjected to three forces and three moments. The values of the six internal stressesgenerated in each section vary along the staircase and are calculated through a series of long andcomplex equations. By creating six simplified diagrams of all the variable forces and moments, two locally familiar cases were designed: one with a total angle of 240° and other with an angle of180°. The created diagrams represent the easiest way to find the locations of the maximum forcesand moments. Thus, the structural analysis results will be ready for the design accordi

From the sustainability point of view a combination of using water absorption polymer balls in concrete mix produce from Portland limestone cement (IL) is worth to be perceived. Compressive strength and drying shrinkage behavior for the mixes of concrete prepared by Ordinary Portland Cement (O.P.C) and Portland limestone cement (IL) were investigated in this research. Water absorbent polymer balls (WAPB) are innovative module in producing building materials due to the internal curing which eliminates autogenous shrinkage, enhances the strength at early age, improve the durability, give higher compressive strength at early age, and reduce the effect of insufficient external curing. Polymer balls (WAPB) had been used in the mixes of t

Experimental Investigation on the Structural Behavior of Double Channel Castellated Steel Beams

The main idea of castellated steel beams is to reduce their weight by creating void space (web holes) in the main beam body. This structure tends to exhibit superior properties such as advanced strength, lightweight, and cost-saving compared to the amount of steel used compared with reference beam without web holes. This study is devoted to investigating the structural behavior of double-channel cast steel beams. In this project, two pieces of a rolled hot steel channel were connected to form a new section used in the testing program. Five beams of different sections were manufactured and tested using the same length and all testing parameters conditions with only a difference in the number of openings and distance (e) between each

Biscuits are a global snack due to their convenience, variety, and durability. Biscuits with nutritious ingredients are in demand as customers become more health conscious. This change led to interest about utilizing agricultural by-products to enhance the nutritional value of widely consumed foods. Mango (Mangifera indica L.), a frequently cultivated tropical fruit, produces vital by-products during its processing, mainly comprising peels and kernels. The by-products, comprising around 35–60% of the mango fruit's weight, are high in bioactive compounds including dietary fiber, polyphenols, carotenoids, and essential fatty acids. Mango peels and kernels, even with their nutritional potential, frequently neglected, resulting in ris

Microfacies analysis of the Late Maastrichtian- Danian Phosphatic Succession in the H3-Trebeel district, Western Desert of Iraq

The Late Maastrichtian–Danian phosphatic succession prevails as a deposit to the west of Rutbah region, Western Iraq. This is manifested through the lithostratigraphic sections of boreholes (K.H5\6 and K.H 5\8) drilled previously in the area. The succession is mainly composed of phosphate, shale, porcelanite, oyster and foraminiferal carbonate lithofacies belonging to Digma and Akashat formations. Three facies associations are distinguished during the study: the phosclast planktonic (FA1) that dominates the outer ramp, the phosclast foraminiferal (FA2) that dominates the mid ramp, and the quartz dolomitic phosclast (FA3) present in the inner ramp. These facies’ associations are differentiated into se

Most countries have used different solutions to stop the spread of the epidemic. The World Health Organization has imposed some rules that people should adhere. The rules are such, wearing masks, quarantining infected people and social distancing. Social distancing is one of the most important solutions that have given good results to confront the emerging virus. Several systems have been developed that use artificial intelligence and deep learning to track social distancing. In this study, a system based on deep learning has been proposed. Numerical approach for improving and enhancing the behavior of I-shaped damper using diagonal stiffeners added to the web of the damper
...Show More Authors

Comprehensive researches to consider the behaviour of the metallic dampers have proven thatthe I-shaped link, designed to act as shear mechanism, serves as a ductile fuse. However, a key limitationis the reduced strength and stiffness of the system when these links are directly connected to the diagonalmember of a concentrically braced frame. To improve the structural performance of I-shaped links, researchers have suggested increasing the web plate thickness, which, in turn, raises the load on the bracemembers. A novel solution to address this issue involves incorporating diagonal stiffeners into the dampers. This study numerically and parametrically investigates the effect of stiffening I -shaped links using finiteelement analysis.
