Analysis of Burial History for Mesopotamian basin, southern Iraq
...Show More Authors

In this study, different oil fields in Mesopotamian basin, southern Iraq (Siba, Zubair, Nahr - Umr, Majnoon, Halfaya, Kumait, and Amara) were selected for studying burial history. PetroMod software 1D was used for basin constructing and to evaluate burial history of the basin. Results showed that in the upper Jurassic to the Recent, Mesopotamian Basin exhibited a complex subsidence history over a period of about 152 Ma.There are different periods of subsidence: high, moderate, and slow. High subsidence occurred at upper Jurassic- mid Cretaceous and at Miocene due to Tectonic subsidence. Slow subsidence occurred at upper Cretaceous and moderate subsidence at Paleogene. In the upper Jurassic, rapid subsidence is driven under the effect of

Interferon’s plays a role in innate immune responses through upregulation of costimulatory molecules and induction of proinflammatory cytokines. Interferon alpha (IFN α) type of Interferons. The present study characterized IFNα cDNA . The interferon’s play a great role in protection from infections, caused by microorganisms, and have powerful antiproliferative and immunomodulation activity. In this study DNA was isolated from bovine blood leukocyte, which was used in the quality of matrix for amplification of α-interferon gene with the use of PCR, and isolation of gene α-interferon and transformation in vector pUC18 and expression vector pET24b (+). All plasmids contained an additional DNA fragment size corresponding to the gene

Two simple, sensitive, accurate and economic methods A and B have been developed for the quantitative estimation of vancomycin hydrochlorid (VHC) and its formulations using another two drug compounds as a coupling reagents. The proposed methods are based on a coupling reaction between VHC and diazotized procain (method A) or diazotized sulphacetamide sodium (method B) in alkaline medium to form intense yellow, water-soluble dyes that are very stable and have a maximum absorption at 447 and 439 nm for methods A and B respectively. Regression analysis of Beer’s law plots showed good correlation in the concentration ranges 1-28 and 1-45 μg ml-1 for methods A and B, respectively with a molar absorbtivity of 4.605×104 L mol-1cm-1 and 4.516

A new, simple, accurate, fast and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the analysis of amiloride in pure and pharmaceutical formulations by continuous flow injection analysis. The method was based on the oxidation of the drug with Ce(IV)sulfate in acidic medium to formed a pinkish-red color species which determined using homemade Ayah 3SBGR x3-3D solar cell flow injection photometer. Optimum conditions were obtained using a high intensity green light emitted diode as a source. The linear dynamic range for the instrument response versus amiloride concentration was 0.0005- 10 mmol.L-1 while the L.O.D was of 9.471 ng / sample. The correlation coefficient (r) was 0.9824 while percentage linearity (r2%) was 96.50%. RSD%

Multi-Objective Set Cover Problem for Reliable and Efficient Wireless Sensor Networks
...Show More Authors

Achieving energy-efficient Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) that monitors all targets at
all times is an essential challenge facing many large-scale surveillance applications.Singleobjective
set cover problem (SCP) is a well-known NP-hard optimization problem used to
set a minimum set of active sensors that efficiently cover all the targeted area. Realizing
that designing energy-efficient WSN and providing reliable coverage are in conflict with
each other, a multi-objective optimization tool is a strong choice for providing a set of
approximate Pareto optimal solutions (i.e., Pareto Front) that come up with tradeoff
between these two objectives. Thus, in the context of WSNs design problem, our main
contribution is to

The IR data indicate that the hydroxyl groups of these Schiff bases exist as tautomeric mixtures of free and bonded with the azomethine groups. The electronic spectra, effect of polar and nonpolar solvents, and the effect of acidity and basicity on the electronic spectra were studied and discussed. Their charge-transfer (CT) complexes with chloranil in chloroform solvent were also investigated; these complexes absorb light at 398-533 nm. T

Atmospheric stability plays the most important role in the transport and dispersion of air pollutants. Different methods are used for stability determination with varying degrees of complexity. Most of these methods are based on the relative magnitude of convective and mechanical turbulence in atmospheric motions, such as Richardson number, Monin-Obukhov length, Pasquill-Gifford stability classification and Pasquill-Turner stability classification. The Pasquill-Turner Method (PTM), which is employed in this study used Observations of wind speed, solar altitude angle and the time of day to classify atmospheric stability with distinguishable indices. Diabetic retinopathy is an eye disease, because of pressure in eye nerve fiber. Wherefore, in order to reduce these effects in this paper, we proposed a new technique for edge detection using traditional operators in combination with fuzzy logic based on fuzzy inference system. The results show that the proposed fuzzy edge detection technique better than of traditional techniques, where vascular are markedly detected over the original.
