Diagnosis the Pseudoperonospora cubensis Causes Downy Mildew in Cucumbers and its Resistance to Potassium Silicate and Extract Eggplant Wild
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>A field experiment was carried out to test the efficiency of potassium silicate and wild eggplant Solanum eleaegnifolium normal and nano for the management of downy mildew disease on cucumber caused by Pseudoperonospora cubensis under greenhouse conditions by reducing the incidence and severity of the disease and its reflection on the efficiency of the control and the area under the disease progress curve AUDPC compared to the fungicide Energy Previcur (Hcl - Propamocarb and Fosetyl-aluminum). The results of phenotypic and molecular diagnosis using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology for the two tested isolates showed that they are Pseudoperonospora cubensis. The nucleotide sequences were deposited in the gene bank under accession numbers ON509850 and ON509851. The results of the field trial indicated that the normal potassium silica at a concentration of 2.5 ml L-1 prevented the disease completely, with a severity rate and infection rate of 0.00%, it gave the highest reduction recorded with significant differences from the control treatment infected with artificial infestation 45.90% and 24.27%, respectively. They are followed by the normal and nano fungicide treatments. With regard to the effect of different treatments on the percentage of control, the results showed that the highest control percentage was recorded in the treatment of normal potassium silicates (100%), followed by the treatment of nano silicates (65.88%). Whereas, treatments of alcoholic and nano eggplant wild extract gave 51.64% and 50.50%, respectively, and 63.04 % and 63.09 % for the normal and nano fungicides, respectively.</p>

Effectiveness of an Educational Program on Knowledge of High School Students about Substance Abuse in Kirkuk City
...Show More Authors

Objective(s): This study aims at determining the effectiveness of an educational program on knowledge of high school students' knowledge about substance abuse and its health consequences, and to find out the association between students’ knowledge about substance abuse and its health consequences and their demographic data of age, socioeconomic status, and educational level of parents.
Methodology: A quasi-experimental study is conducted for the period of October 28th, 2019 to March 30th, 2020. The study sample included a nonprobability “purposive” sample of (124) male students (62) students for the control group and (62) students for the study group, aged (14-19) years who are selected from Al-Hikma High School for Boys in Kirk

Study on Frequency of Hard Tick Isolated from Goat (<i>Capra hircus</i> Linnaeus, 1758) in Iraq
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>In Iraq, the domestic goat Capra hircus is valued as a valuable commercial resource. As obligatory ectoparasites, ixodid ticks cause significant harm to their animal hosts. Hard ticks parasitize the abdomen, inside limbs, ears, and head. Out of a total of 200 samples evaluated, 150 goat- infested samples had a total of 450 Hard ticks (303male and 147 female) and were infested at a rate of 75%. The results of the current research eight species of hard ticks were recognized. Goat species belonging to the family Ixodidae (Capra hircus: Linnaeus, 1758), obtained from distinct areas involving: the Iraqi capital Baghdad governorate [Al-Yusifiya], Al-Anbar governor</p> ... Preparation of a Composite of Copper Oxide Nanoparticles with Carbon by Exploding Graphite Rod in Aqueous Suspension
...Show More Authors

In this work, the effect of preparing a composite of copper oxide nanoparticles with carbon on some of its optical properties was studied. The composite preparing process was carried out by exploding graphite electrodes in an aqueous suspension of copper oxide. The properties of the plasma which is formed during the explosion were studied using emission spectroscopy in order to determine the most important elements that are present in the media. The electron’s density and their energy, which is the main factor in the composite process, were determined. The particle properties were studied before and after the exploding process. The XRD showed an additional peak in the copper oxides pattern corresponding to the hexagonal graphite struct

This research is under the title (Construction Grammar in the Kurdish language), which in turn is an attempt to present grammar and Kurdish grammar from the perspective of the constructive of Cognitive Linguistics. The construction as a term in the Kurdish language base was not recent, as it was discussed in other schools in a specific way from the perspective of language schools, but the subject of construction with a perceived background includes specific purposes, which is how to build the linguistic base by being a template accessible to its speakers, and in the cases of speaking it, not to mention how it is perceived and the level it is familiar with by its speakers. The nominal purpose of the Construction is Unification of form-mea

Background:    Hip fractures are common, morbid, and costly health events that threaten independence and function of older patients . Early functional recovery is extremely important for elderly patients with femoral intertrochanteric fractures to shorten their hospital stay, omit the necessity of the further nursing and care services, and reduce associated medical expenditures . Assessment of  (ADL) is an important predictor of outcomes Of orthopedic surgery in very early postoperative period at two weeks and a month postoperatively using Japanese orthopedic score get a quick recovery of ADL & return the patient to his or her premorbid level function reducing the morbidity and mortality.

Adult Dengue Fever in Bangladesh: A One-Sample Rank-Based Test of Hematologic Location Against Healthy References
...Show More Authors

Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne viral infection that produces characteristic abnormalities in routine blood tests, yet these hematologic changes are typically analysed separately for each parameter rather than as a combined multivariate profile. This study investigated whether the joint hematologic profile of adult dengue patients in Bangladesh is systematically displaced from healthy adult reference values. We analysed a cohort of laboratory-confirmed adult dengue cases from a Bangladeshi hospital and focused on four core hematologic indices: haemoglobin, white blood cell count, platelet count, and platelet distribution width (PDW). External adult reference means were used to define a healthy location vector, and robust multivariate infer

Expression of programmed death ligand 1 in patients with triple‑negative breast cancer: Association with clinicopathological parameters
...Show More Authors

The utilization of targeted therapy for programmed death ligand 1 (PD‑L1) has emerged as a prominent focus in contemporary clinical trials, particularly in the context of immune checkpoint inhibitors. The prognostic significance of the expression of PD‑L1 in invasive mammary cancer remains a subject of discussion in clinical oncology, requiring further exploration, despite its recognition as a biomarker for responsiveness to anti‑PDL1 immunotherapy. The present study was conducted to investigate the immunohistological expression of PD‑L1 in women with triple‑negative breast cancer (TNBC), with a particular focus for searching for the associated clinical and pathological characteristics. The present retrospective study examined the

Stand-Alone PV Generator Comparing with Conventional Systems for Electrification of Small Social Centres in Remote Area
...Show More Authors

Many isolated rural communities are located in regions where there is an abundant and reliable supply of solar energy, but where the distance to the nearest power station is many tens or even hundreds of kilometre. It is therefore mainly in these areas that rural electrification is now being provided by PV generators. since Stand-Alone PV generator can offer the most cost-effective and reliable option for providing power needed in remote places. Accordingly these isolated rural canters are fitted with PV for lighting, a refrigerator, a television and socket to supply kitchen appliances
