Object Dimension and Location Determination in Gantry Robots and Conveyor Systems: A Review
...Show More Authors

A‍‌‍‍‌ gantry robot is one of the most common types of industrial robots with linear movement. This type of robot is also known as a Cartesian or linear robot. It is an automated industrial system that moves along linear paths, enabling it to create a 3D envelope of the space in which it operates. A robot of this type has a standardised configuration process because it can have several sets of axes, such as X, Y and Z. The gantry robot picks up products from several places, so it can search through various locations. Afterwards, it carefully deposits the products on a conveyor belt for the next stage of the procedure or final ‍‌‍‍‌shipment. This integration enables continuous and automated material flow, increasing overall productivity and efficiency in manufacturing operations. Dimension measuring and object placement are critical tasks in robot and conveyor systems that depend substantially on the types of sensors. Progress in sensors and camera technologies has markedly enhanced precision, efficacy, productivity and adaptability. Sensors are commonly classified as range and vision sensors on the basis of their mode of measurement. This review article offers useful knowledge on gantry robots and conveyor systems and their historical background. It examines recent research that has reported on the advantages and disadvantages of gantry robots. Moreover, literature on object dimensioning and positioning via sensors and cameras in gantry robots is presented. This review elucidates the advantages and disadvantages of several sensing types, including cameras and conventional sensors. Comparisons of robotic systems in terms of accuracy, speed, cost, energy efficiency and other aspects are also performed. Many studies have been conducted on body detection via vision technology and sensors, but the use of laser sensors has received minimal attention and needs further focus in the future.

FIRST RECORD OF THE NORTH AFRICAN CATFISH CLARIAS GARIEPINUS (BURCHELL, 1822) (SILURIFORMES, CLARIIDAE) IN TIGRIS RIVER, IRAQ
...Show More Authors

The current study aimed to determine the morphometric and meristic characteristics of the North African catfish Clarias gariepinus (Burchell, 1822). Six specimens of C. gariepinus were collected from the Tigris River, in central Iraq. This study is considered the confirmation first record of this species in Iraq, and the second documentation of this exotic fish. The present species is characterized by a very long dorsal fin, a rounded caudal fin and four pairs of barbels.

Detection of early occlusal caries of the first permanent molar using different techniques (An in vivo study)
...Show More Authors

Background: Molars and premolars are considered as the most vulnerable teeth of caries attack, which is related to the morphology of their occlusal surfaces along with the difficulty of plaque removal. different methods were used for early caries detection that provide sensitive, accurate preoperative diagnosis of caries depths to establish adequate preventive measures and avoid premature tooth treatment by restoration. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the clinical sensitivity and specificity rates of DIAGNOdent and visual inspection as opposed to the ICDAS for the detection of initial occlusal caries in noncavitated first permanent molars. Materials and Methods: This study examined 139 occlusal surface of the first permanent

Research Title: Strategic Orientation Reflections on Organizational Performance (Applied research in the Ministry of Defense / Inspector General)
...Show More Authors

The aim of the study was to study the implications of the strategic direction on organizational performance. The research was carried out in the Iraqi Ministry of Defense / Inspector General's Office for the purpose of identifying the nature of the relationship and the impact between the two variables. A sample of 60 people managers, department managers and directorates was targeted.

The researcher tried to test hypotheses in the first chapter, which was devoted to the methodology of research and previous studies and found the following: (1) validity of the first hypothesis of the existence of a relationship of positive significance of the strategic direction in its sub-dimensions with organizational perf

Abstract The purpose of this paper is to preparing small games for fifth graders. And to identify the impact of these small games in developing some concepts of traffic safety for fifth graders. The two researchers used the experimental method to solve the research problem, and the research community was identified with students. The fifth grade of primary school in the province of Baghdad and a sample was chosen from the private Baghdad Primary School, which numbered (60) male and female students. They were distributed equally into two groups by simple random method (experimental and control groups). As for the most important conclusions reached by the two researchers, it is the presence of an effect of small games in developing some conce
