In this research work, synthesis, antimicrobial and antioxidant bioactivity of a chain of compounds having unsaturated ketones bond and isoxazoline moiety have been described. New chalcone derivatives containing isoxazoline moiety have been synthesized. Generally, Chalcones are unsaturated ketones bearing (-CO-CH=CH-) as reactive ketoethylenic group that give the bright yellow colored compounds due to this chromophore group. Firstly, chalcones (IIa-d) have been prepared by cyclocondensation (Claisen-Schmidt condensation) of triphenyl aminobenzaldehyde with different substituted acetophenone in ethyl alcohol to produce a series of chalcones compounds with bright yellow colored as a starting material,. The next step involving the novel chalcones (IIa-d) reacted with hydroxylamine hydrochloride afforded a new isoxazoline compounds (IIIa-d) in basic medium. The prepared compounds were fully characterized by melting points, FTIR, 1H-NMR spectroscopy, 13 C-NMR for some compounds and CHNS techniques. The reactions have been monitored by TLC (Thin Layer Chromatography) technique. The synthesised compound IId showed significant bioactivity against the gram-negative bacteria species. Also, the antioxidant activity of the some new synthesized compounds was evaluated and determined against the DPPH radical (1.1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) and compared to that of a standard natural antioxidant, Ascorbic acid, compound IIb showed higher antioxidant activity by using the free radical DPPH. The outcomes of investigation enhanced the activity of new derivatives as antimicrobial reagent.
Derivatives of Schiff-bases possess a great importance in pharmaceutical chemistry. They can be used for synthesizing different types of bioactive compounds. In this paper, derivatives of new Schiff bases have been synthesized from several serial steps. The acid (I) was synthesized from the reaction of dichloroethanoic acid with 2 moles of p-aminoacetanilide. New acid (I) converted to its ester (II) via the reaction of (I) with dimethyl sulphate in the present of anhydrous of sodium carbonate and dry acetone. Acid hydrazide (III) has been synthesized by adding 80% of hydrazine hydrate to the new ester using ethanol as a solvent. The last step included the preparation of new Schiff-bases (IV-VIII) by the reaction of acid hydrazide with app

The percentage of essential oil was determined by using steam distillation and the extraction of flowers performed with petroleum ether (70-80) ºC and methanol 70% using ultrasonic extraction. Total phenolic compounds were determined from methanol extracts by using Folin-Ciocalteu method. The extracts were evaluated by thin layer chromatography, ultraviolet absorption and the biological activities were evaluated through their antibacterial action against two types of bacteria using hole method. The flowers showed a composition of 0.071% ash, 0.4% essential oil, 3.2% non oily compounds, 4% oil, 1.9% mo

Nitric oxide NO has been reported to support many of the same mucosal protection mechanisms as prostaglandins and is sufficient for acute gastroprotection and ulcer healing. So we suppose these 2 compounds would reduce non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs NSAIDs gastrointestinal side effect.

All of them were water-soluble and are used quite extensively in the medical and pharmaceutical fields. This study synthesised the new ligand derivative from L-ascorbic acid-base using the following steps: A 5, 6-O-isopropylidene-L-ascorbic acid was prepared by reacting dry acetone with L-ascorbic acid followed by reacting it with trichloroacetic acid to yield [chloro (carboxylic) methylidene]-5, 6-O-isopropylidene-L-ascorbic acid in the second stage. In the third stage, the derivative was reacted with (methyl (6-methyl-2-pyridylmethyl) amine to create a new ligand (ONMILA). This novel ligand was identified using

This ligand is examined by (UV-Vis, FTIR,1H,13CNMR, and LC-Mass) spectral techniques and micro elemental analysis (C.H.N.O). Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) complexes were also performed and depicted. Metal chelates were distinguished by utilizing flame atomic absorption, infrared analysis, and elemental, visible, as well as ultraviolet spectroscopy, in addition to conductivity and magnetic quantification. Aryldiazenyl derivatives (2-5) were carried out by coupling of diazonium salt of 4-aminoacetophenone (1) and miscellaneous active methylene compounds such as: acetylacetone, ethyl cyanoacetate, dimedone or methyl acetoacetate. Moreover substituted 1,2,3-triazole (7-9) were synthesized by the cyclization of 1-(4-azidophenyl) ethanone (6); (which was obtained by coupling of diazonium salt (1) with sodium azid); with acetylacetone, methyl acetoacetate or methyl cyanoacetate, respectively. The structures of the prepared compounds were promoted by IR, H1NMR and UV/Visible spectra. Further, they were examined in vetro for antibacterial activity against five str
