This study aims to fabricate and assess the β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) bioactive ceramic coat layer on bioinert ceramic zirconia implants through the direct laser melting technique by applying a long-pulsed Nd:YAG laser of 1064 nm. Surface morphologies, adherence, and structural change in the coatings were evaluated by optical microscopy, field emission scanning electron microscope, hardness, and x-ray diffractometer. The elastic modulus (EM) of the coating was also determined using the nanoindentation test. The quality of the coating was improved when the laser power was 90 W with a decrease in the scan speed to 4 mm s−1. The chemical composition of the coat was maintained after laser processing; also, the Energy Dispersive X-ray maps showed a good distribution of Ca and P particles with some agglomeration on the surface. The crystalline nature of the β-TCPs coat can be concluded from the sharp peaks in the x-ray diffraction patterns. EM was low near the top surface of the coat and increased gradually with the depth. The microhardness value of a coated substrate was lower than the hardness value of a control substrate. Unlike conventional deposition techniques, laser processes can be used to build a coat with optimum bonding and desirable mechanical properties, indicating that processing and coating seem to be attractive for bioinert ceramic zirconia implants.
In the current research the absorption and fluorescence spectrum
of Coumarin (334) and Rhodamine (590) in ethanol solvent at
different concentration (10-3, 10-4, 10-5) M had been studied. The
absorption intensity of these dyes increases as the Concentration
increase in addition to that the spectrum was shifted towards the
longer wavelength (red shift). The energy transfer process has been
investigated after achievement this condition. The fluorescence peak
intensity of donor molecule was decrease and its bandwidth will
increases on the contrary of the acceptor molecule its intensity
increase gradually and its bandwidth decreases as the acceptor
concentration increase.
Nanoparticle has pulled in expanding consideration with the developing enthusiasm for nanotechnology which hold potential as essential segments for development applications. In the present work, a copper nanoparticle is manufactured as a suspension in distilled water by beating a bulk copper target with laser source (532 nm wavelength, 10 ns pulse duration and 10 Hz repletion rate) via method. UV- visible absorption spectra and AFM analysis has been done to observe the effect of repetition rate for the pulsation of laser. Copper nanoparticles (Cu-NPs) were successfully synthesized with green color. The Cu- NPs have very high purity because the preparation was managed in aqueous media to eliminate ambient contaminations. Absorption

It affects many parts but mainly the sacral area and may present with various forms; from the asymptomatic cyst to severe infection in a form of painful abscess or sinus. The treatment of pilonidal sinus ranges from observation with good hygiene to excision of the sinus left wide incision. Recurrence may follow the excisional procedure and may need more operations. Many conservative ways had been used for the management of the sinus; laser (phototherapy) is one kind that may use. this paper aims to test the efficiency of the laser (diode 980nm) in the treatment of the sinus. material:

The study was done in Al- Kindy Teaching Hospital in Baghdad, Iraq during the period from 1st October 2003 till 1st April 2004. Fifteen patients completed the treatment and they were followed for the period of 3 months. Recalcitrant and extensive warts were selected for the study. Patients were randomly divided into 3 groups to be treated by different laser powers 9, 12 and 15 W, power density of 286 W/cm2, 381W/cm2, 477 W/cm2 pulse duration of 0.2 s, interval of 0.2 s and repeated pulses were used. The mode of application was either circular or radial. Pain oc

The two ligands were prepared by Strecker’s procedure which includ the reaction of p- toluidine with benzaldehyde and P- chlorobenzaldehyde respectively. Structures were proposed depending on atomic absorption , i.r. and u.v.visible spectra in addition to magnetic susceptibility and electrical conductivity measurements.
The article presents the synthesis and liquid crystalline properties of some of new bent and linear core compounds containing a 1,3,4-oxadiazole, piperazine and thiazolidin-4-one rings as a central core. The new synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analysis and FTIR, ¹HNMR and mass spectroscopy). The liquid crystalline properties were studied by polarized optical microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. All Schiff bases compounds with 1,3,4-oxadiazole and piprzaine ring in central core presented liquid crystalline properties. The liquid crystallinity of compounds containing 1,3,4-oxadiazole and thiazolidin-4-one rings as a central core were found depending on the type of terminal substituents.
This paper deals with the preparation of new monomers and polymers which including heterocyclic unit. The diacid chlorides compounds [1-3] were prepared from the reaction of glutaric acid, adipic acid, terephthalic acid with thionyl chloride. Succinic acid reacted with ethanol to produce compound [4]. Compound [4] reacted with hydrazine hydrate to obtain succinic hydrazide [5].Compound [5] reaction with CS2 and KOH in absolute ethanol to produce compound [6].The polymers [7-12] have been created by reacting diacid chlorides compounds [1-3] with compound[5] or [6] in dry pyridine with some drops of DMF. Show MoreSix membered heterocyclic derivatives (dihydroquinazoline-4-one and 1,3-benzothiazine-4-one (6–15)) were synthesized by cyclization reaction of Schiff bases (1–5) with anthranilic acid and o-mercaptobenzoic acid in oily bath. Prepared compounds was characterized by FTIR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass spectroscopy and elemental analysis to confirm structure of synthesized derivatives. Heterocyclic compounds are of interest for scientific research due to important antioxidant properties; Compounds 10, 12, and 15 appeared good results by scavenging free radicals. Investigation of microbial activity to synthesized compounds 6–15 showed that compounds 6, 10, and 11 demonstrate the highest inhibition zone.
