Synthesis and characterization of some New Oxazepine Compounds Containing 1,3,4-Thiadiazole Ring Derived form D-Erythroascorbic Acid
...Show More Authors

This search include the synthesis of some new 1,3-oxazepine derivatives have been prepared, starting from reaction of L-ascorbic acid with dry acetone in presence of dry hydrogen chloride afforded the acetal (I). Treatment of the latter with p-nitrobenzoyl chloride in dry pyridine yielded the ester (II) which was dissolved in (65%) acetic acid in absolute ethanol yielded the glycol (III). The reaction of the glycol (III) with sodium periodate in distilled water at room temperature produced the aldehyde (IV). The compound (V) [2-amino-5-mercapato-1,3,4-thiadiazole] was prepared through the reaction of thiosemicarbazide with carbon disulphide (CS2) in entity of anhydrous (Na2CO3) in (abs. ethanol ). Compound (VI) [2-(5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)isoindoline-1,3-dione] was synthesized by the reaction of phthalic anhydride with compound (V) in presence of (gla. CH3COOH). Reaction of compound (VI) with (ClCH2COOH) in entity of anhydrous (Na2CO3) in distilled water produced compound (VII) and then reaction with thionyl chloride yielded acid chloride (VIII). Condensation of acid chloride with hydrazine hydrate afforded 2-(5-(1,3-dioxoisoindolin-2-yl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-ylthio)acetohydrazide (IX). The azomethine (X) has been synthesized from the reaction between compounds (IX) and (IV). Moreover compounds (XI-XIII) were synthesized from the cyclic condensation of Schiff base (X) with (maleic, phthalic and 3-nitrophthalic) anhydride, the structures of the novel synthesized compounds have been confirmed by physical properties and spectral measurements such as (FTIR and some of them by 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR).

Corrosion-Resistance Characteristics of Concrete Containing Furfural
...Show More Authors

Corrosion inhibiting admixtures are unique among other methods to protect reinforced concrete from corrosion damage. In this study, the effect of furfural on the fresh and hardened properties of concrete mixes of 35 and 45 MPa compressive strengths as well as the corrosion inhibition of furfural was evaluated. Furfural was added at different dosages (1, 2 and 3% by weight of cement) with and without superplasticizer (HRWR). Different electrochemical measurements were performed (Half-cell potential, Tafel plot and linear polarization resistance). Electrochemical measurements confirmed that furfural dramatically reduces the rate of corrosion; the inhibition efficiencies were 62.7 and 63.8 % due to 3% furfural addition to 35 and 45MPa-concr

Effect of Fertilization NPK-Nano and Humic Acid on Some Vegetative Growth Characteristics and Mineral Content of Apple Seedlings (Malus Domestica) Cv. Ibrahimi.
...Show More Authors

The research was carried out in lathhouse on one-year-old apple seedlings of the Ibrahimi variety in the Karma-Fallujah region for the 2021 growing season to study the effect of methods of adding nano-fertilizer and humic acid on seedling growth. A two-factor experiment was designed according to a randomized complete block design, with three replicates and two seedlings per experimental unit, so the number of seedlings was 54. The first factor includes NPK nanofertilizer at three levels (0- and 2-ml L-1 foliar spray and 5 ml L-1 soil application). The second factor is humic acid at three levels (0 and 5 g of seedlings - 1 foliar spray and 10 g of seedlings - 1 soil application). The results of the study show that the NPK nano-fertil

Efficient Approach for Solving (2+1) D- Differential Equations
...Show More Authors

In this article, a new efficient approach is presented to solve a type of partial differential equations, such (2+1)-dimensional differential equations non-linear, and nonhomogeneous. The procedure of the new approach is suggested to solve important types of differential equations and get accurate analytic solutions i.e., exact solutions. The effectiveness of the suggested approach based on its properties compared with other approaches has been used to solve this type of differential equations such as the Adomain decomposition method, homotopy perturbation method, homotopy analysis method, and variation iteration method. The advantage of the present method has been illustrated by some examples.

ANTIBACTERIAL AND ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITIES OF PHENOLIC COMPOUNDS FROM MYRTUS COMMUNIS CALLUS
...Show More Authors

This study was aimed to evaluate atotal phenolic content, antibacterial activity, and antioxidant activity of M. communis callus extracts were evaluated. Callus induction in general Murashige and Skoog (MS) media is completed by the Benzil adenine's unique knowledge of callus formation. A well diffusion experiment was used to examine antibacterial interest in Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumonia, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The DPPH radical scavenging activity test was used to measure antioxidant activity. FTIR and HPLC have been used to pinpoint the presence of polyphenol compounds in calluses. The total phenol content of plant leaves extract (0.1, 0.5, and 1) mg/ml was 42.12, 94.08, and 189 mg of Gallic ac

3-D OBJECT RECOGNITION USING MULTI-WAVELET AND NEURAL NETWORK
...Show More Authors

This search has introduced the techniques of multi-wavelet transform and neural network for recognition 3-D object from 2-D image using patches. The proposed techniques were tested on database of different patches features and the high energy subband of discrete multi-wavelet transform DMWT (gp) of the patches. The test set has two groups, group (1) which contains images, their (gp) patches and patches features of the same images as a part of that in the data set beside other images, (gp) patches and features, and group (2) which contains the (gp) patches and patches features the same as a part of that in the database but after modification such as rotation, scaling and translation. Synthesis, Characterization of Chitosan para- hydroxyl Benzaldehyde Schiff Base Linked Maleic Anhydride and the Evaluation of Its Antimicrobial Activities
...Show More Authors

Current research included preparation, characterization of some new chitosan- hydroxy benzaldehyde-Schiff bases with maleic anhydride. The present study aimed to the synthesis and characterization of novel chitosan Schiff base compounds using para- hydroxy benzaldeh and maleic anhydride. The  derivative of the  schiff-chitosan base, which is associated with different drugs, has been replaced with   different  amino  and  hydroxy  drugs.  The derivative is characterized by different analytical techniques. The results of FT-IR studies clearly indicate construction of the chief amine group in chitosan and the emergence of new bands that correspond to the association of maleic anhydride with the chitosan base. Isolation and Identification of Phenolic Compounds from Dianthus orientalis Wildly Grown in Iraq.
...Show More Authors

The plant Dianthus Orientalis that belongs to the Caryphyllaceae family is one of the useful plants in Iraq. Its seeds are commonly used for toothache. This project provides the first comprehensive research done in Iraq and the world to study the phytochemicals and the methods of extraction and isolation of active constituents from Dianthus orientalis wildly grown in Iraq. The plant was harvested from Penjwin in AL-Sulaymaniyah city, Iraq in September 2019.The whole plant were washed carefully, dried in shade area for two weeks, and milled in a mechanical grinder to a coarse powder. The plant was defatted by maceration with hexane for 7days and dried after that extracted by cold extraction methods using
