بلا شك ان عملية اختيار القرار الصائب للموظف من مجموعة التفضيلات المقدمة له، ستحقق بالتأكيد لديه الشعور بالرضا، وكما ستدفعه الى المزيد من اتخاذ القرارات نحو الخيارات من دون تردد او شك مما ستخلق في نفسه الثقة والرضا الذاتي والايجابية في التفكير . ونلاحظ بان اغلب موظفي الدولة يمارسون وظائف لا تبعث في نفوسهم الرضا سواء كانت تلك الوظائف تعود الى القطاعات الحكومية او القطاعات الخاصة، وذلك لأنهم قد اجبروا على ممارستها نتيجة للحاجة المادية او الاجتماعية، او ان معدلاتهم الدراسية كانت اقل مما كانوا يتوقعون، وهذا ما دفعهم الى الشعور بعدم الرضا لأنهم يعرفون تماما ان فرصتهم في الحياة لم تكن مناسبة لتوقعاتهم. لذا فقد جاء البحث الحالي ليهدف التعرف على: ١-مستوى الفرص الضائعة لدى موظفي الدولة. ٢-الفروق في مستوى الفرص الضائعة لدى موظفي الدولة تبعا لمتغير النوع الاجتماعي. ولاجل الوصول الى اهداف البحث، قامت الباحثة ببناء مقياس يتالف من (٢٠) فقرة، موزعة على ثلاثة مجالات، ومن ثم تم توزيع المقياس على (٢٠٠) موظف وموظفة تم اختيارهم بالطريقة العشوائية البسيطة، وبعد تطبيق فقرات المقياس على عينة البحث تم استخراج الخصائص السيكومترية للمقياس، وعند تحليل إجابات العينة على فقرات المقياس، أظهرت نتائج البحث ما يلي: ١-ان العينة لا تعاني من ضياع الفرص في حياتها. ٢- ليس للنوع الاجتماعي اثرا في انخفاض مستوى الفرص الضائعة لدى موظفي الدولة.

The sample is composed of (90) teacher: (50) male, (40) female. The results have shown no significant differences between male and female responses' mean.
