Abstract: Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) are the most common bacterial infection in humans and a major cause of morbidity and they are the most common cause of hospital visits worldwide. Proper knowledge in identifying factors associated with urinary tract infection may allow the intervention to easily control of the disease in a timely manner. Therefore, the purpose of the study is determining the prevalence of UTI, diagnosis of causative bacterial agents and identifying the factors associated to the urinary tract infection among patients attending Medical City Hospital in Baghdad, Iraq. A total of 237, morning mid-stream urine samples were collected aseptically and the samples were diagnosed according to the standard methods. Information about the factors related to UTI were obtained by using questionnaire. Prevalence of UTI patients attending medical city hospital in Baghdad was 63/237 (26.58%). The most prevalent bacterial uropathogen was Escherichia coli with 21/63 (33.33%), followed by Klebsiella pneumoniae 13/63 (20.63%), Staphylococcus aureus 10/63 (15.87%), Enterococcus faecalis 8/63(12.70%), Enterobacter cloacae 4/63(6.35%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa 3/63 (4.763.5%), Proteus mirabilis 3/63 (4.763.5%), finally 1/63 (1.59%) for Proteus vulgaris. The results showed significant relationships (P <0.05) between hospital (department), sex, age and lower abdominal or back pain with urinary tract infection. Prevalence of bacterial causing UTIs were higher in the age group 30-39 with 16/63 (25.40%) and there was a significant association between hospital (department), sex, age and lower abdominal or back pain with UTI.
This paper exclusively deals with medical encounters. . Structurally and thematically, it manifests itself in five parts. The First part deals with medical encounters as well as essential speech activities which cover (a) frames (certain types of talk) (b) the patient’s account and the patient’s story or more precisely the patient telling his story and (c) the act of questioning the patient. The Second part revolves round genre and register. The former, in most cases, suggests that the format of medical encounters is conversational. With register; we have a converse reality that restrictively tries to narrow things and give them a certain flavor. The Third part realizes the technicalities of medical encounters (a) the setting of an inte

In contrast to antibiotics, which assault the entire bacterial population without discrimination, bacteriophages have a limited set of characteristics that allow them to target infectious microbes while avoiding friendly species (commensal microbiota). Nevertheless, large groups of naturally occurring bacteriophages that are well-differentiated and selective for the most clinically recognized pathogenic bacterial strains are required. Utilizing genetic engineering techniques that modify the target phage genome to synthesize phages with known characteristics in a brief period o

Theoretical Framework: This research suggests a conceptual framework for the local investment commissions in order to solve their problems, the most important of which was to identify the most critical challenges which are facing the Baghdad Investment Commission BIC and how to overcome them. Design/The methodology approach: Research involved a mixed-methods approach through two stages. During the first stage, the researcher gathered quantitative data from all inves

The importance of such values made that ignoring any values and mistakes occurs in the design process. Simultaneously, architectural designers' different nature and the difference in their experiences are causing different understandings of the design values, thus causing architectural mistakes. The research problem appears from the randomly propagating of mistakes in contemporary architecture, which is about to become a phenomenon in Al Sulaymaniyah city. The research aims to find the main reason

Although it is a self limiting benign condition, it has social and psychological impact on the child and his family. Many pathophysiological theories had been suggested, but none is confirmed. Hypercalciuria has been suggested to be associated with higher incidence of nocturnal enuresis. Objectives:The aim of our study to test the value of Ca/Cr ratio, on random urine sample, in diagnosing hypercalciuria in enuretic children. Type of study: Cross sectional study. Methods:Forty four enuretic children were enrolled in this study and forty five children without nocturnal enuresis were taken as control group.

Traditional data collection methods are neither enough for considering this important environmental problem nor accurate for soil studies. Remote sensing data could overcome most of these problems. Although satellite images are commonly used for these studies, however there are still needs to find the best calibration between the data and real situations in each specified area. Landsat satellite (TM & ETM+) images have been analyzed to study soil pollution (Exacerbation of salinity in the soil without the use of abandoned agricultural for a long time) at west of Baghdad city of Iraqi country for the years 1990, 2001 & 2007.
