Beta-lactam medications are among the commonly used antibiotics that share the presence of a beta-lactam ring in their chemical formation. A modern, rapid, highperformance liquid chromatography technique was advanced and validated according to FDA and EMA rules for the concurrent determination of medications in their pharmaceutical and pure forms This study deals with the determination of beta-lactam drugs )Amoxicillin, Ampicillin Cephalexin, Cefotaxime, Cefoxitin, Cefamandole, Cephalothin, Piperacillin, Penicillin, Oxacillin, Cloxacillin Nafcillin, Carbenicillin, Mezlocillin and Dicloxacillin) which is a RP-HPLC technique with an UV detector using a column NEUCLEODUR C-18 (4.0 mm × 100 mm, 5µm particle size), The heat of the chromatographic column was 30o C, and the mobile phase of acetonitrile and KH2 PO4 using a progression elution with a total separation time of 19.54 min, a flow rate of 1.3, and the wavelength was 220 nm. The concentration range was among (0.2–20 µg/ml) with coefficients of determination of 0.9994. Recoveries were 100.4 – 90.86%, the limit of detection (LOD) was 0.0069–0.0659 µg/ml and limit of quantitation (LOQ) was 0.0211–0.1997 µg/ml. The chromatography approach advanced in this study was applied to simultaneously identify drugs in medical dosage forms obtained from pharmacies.

Fifty patients with hypothyroidism and Fifty patients with hyperthyroidism were selected. A control group of thirty euthyroid persons was included. Blood was collected by vein puncture and serum was separated and stored at –20C. Adipokines (obestatin, vaspin, tumor necrosis factor-? and interleukin-6) were estimated using ELISA method. The findings show a significant (p<0.05) increase in obestatin level in hypothyroid patients, while there is no significant difference in hyperthyroid patientsas compared with the euthyroid subjects.

Abstract: This research was performed to study the effect of some amino acids and vitamins on the growth of bacteria Staphylococcus aureas and its sensitivity against UV light. The results showed low inhibition in bacterial growth because amino acids repairs the damges caused by UV light. Besides the effect of two groups of antibiotics (β-lactame and tetracycline) on the growth of S. aureus and the possible interference of amino acids and vitamins in the activity of the antibiotics against this bacteria in the presence of UV light were studied. The result show increase in the sensitivity towards these antibiotics and provided protection against the antibiotics.
This work aimed to produce PVA and PVA/Ag nanofibers ultra-high sensitivity photodetector by electrospinning. The electrospinning process was used to successfully prepare PVA nanofibers and a PVA-Ag nanofiber composite. FE-SEM, XRD, UV, I-V characterizations are used to study the morphological, structural, optical, and electrical properties of the material. In contrast, the PVA-Ag nanofiber composite film displayed a cubic structure with favored orientation (200) that indicated the presence of Ag NPs in the PVA-Ag nanofibers film. Purepolyaniline and doped with hydrochloric acid was prepared in different molarities at room temperature. The a.c electrical properties were stadied.AC conductivityσac (ω), is found to vary as ωS in the frequency range (100Hz-10MH), S< 1and decreases indicating a dominate hopping process. Thedielectric constant ε1and dielectric loss ε2 have been determined for bulk polyaniline. ε1 decrease with the increase frequency.
