Abstract The avulsion of the flexor digitorum profundus, also known as the jersey finger, is a well-known injury that can be treated surgically. It has been classified into four types, among them type IV which involves tendon avulsion from an associated bony fragment with subsequent retraction to the palm or proximal interphalangeal joint is very rare. We present a case of type IV injury in a 45-year-old man with a pulling-on injury. The repair followed a pull-out technique (reinserting the tendon into the avulsed fragment); the entire reduction was tied over a button on the dorsal aspect of the nail and was augmented with a volar plate. This paper introduces a relationship between the independence of polynomials associated with the links of the network, and the Jacobian determinant of these polynomials. Also, it presents a way to simplify a given communication network through an algorithm that splits the network into subnets and reintegrates them into a network that is a general representation or model of the studied network. This model is also represented through a combination of polynomial equations and uses Groebner bases to reach a new simplified network equivalent to the given network, which may make studying the ability to solve the problem of network coding less expensive and much easier.

A theoretical and experimental investigation was carried out to study the behavior of a two-phase closed thermosyphon loop (TPCTL) during steady-state operation using different working fluids. Three working fluids were investigated, i.e., distilled water, methanol, and ethanol. The TPCTL was constructed from an evaporator, condenser, and two pipelines (riser and downcomer). Many scholarly studies in literature report the enhancement of conventional cryptographic algorithms and the development of new algorithms. This significant number of studies resulted in the rise of many review studies on LWC in IoT. Due to the vast number of review studies on LWC in IoT, it is not known what the studies cover and how extensive the review studies are.
