A Theoretical and Experimental Investigation of the Effects of Inverted Wings Modifications on the Stability and Aerodynamic Performance of a Sedan Car at Cornering
...Show More Authors
ABSTRACT<p>This research examines the impact of cornering on the aerodynamic forces and stability of a Nissan Versa (Almera) passenger sedan car by introducing novel modifications. These modifications included single inverted wings with end plates as a front spoiler, double‐element inverted wings with end plates as a rear spoiler, and incorporating the ground as a diffuser under the car trunk. The goal is to enhance the performance and stability of conventional passenger cars. To ensure the accuracy of the numerical data, the study utilized multiple methodologies to model the turbulence model, ultimately selecting the most suitable option. This involved comparing numerical data with wind tunnel experimental data using force balance and pressure distribution. Once validated, the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was employed to analyze the vehicle's aerodynamic performance relative to the straight‐line condition under cornering conditions. The car simulation in a cornering condition was conducted at a representative Reynolds number based on the vehicle length of about 1.3 × 107. The study discovered that asymmetry was a recurring theme regarding surface pressure distribution, with greater prominence under cornering conditions. All modified models exhibited a more favorable lift‐to‐drag ratio than the baseline, indicating improved aerodynamic efficiency. The underbody double‐element diffuser proved most effective for enhancing fuel efficiency and stability. Mesh refinement with a polyhedral algorithm consisting of 11.27 million elements and a computational domain with a frontal area of 91.8 m2 and a curved length of 31 m (˜7 times car length) was crucial for achieving accurate and repeatable results. The study employed multiple turbulence models within the CFD framework. The realizable k‐ε model was chosen due to its balance between accuracy and computational cost for all Nissan Versa models. These findings are limited to the selected parameters and wind tunnel conditions, and further investigations might be needed for extreme driving scenarios.</p>

Measuring The Level of Complexity In The Process University – Case Study At The Southern Technical University.

Complexity is the inherent characteristic of contemporary organizations. It is characterized by the intertwining and expansion of its relations, by the severe disorder and rapid change in its environment, which makes it suffer from a state of uncertainty in determining the direction of its future or the assessment of the rules governing its paths. All organizations tend to evolve with increasing sophistication, And to take measures that contribute to the simplification of the system as it moves towards complexity, allowing the administration to easily control its movement and directions, and the problem of complexity in the university is based on the entanglement and overlap in the goals and processes betwe

Imported inflation ... concept, transmission channels, effects, and processors Iraq Case study for the period (1990-2015)
...Show More Authors

This research aims to explain the effect of the imported inflation (which moves through the raise of global prices to Iraqi economy) over local prices, besides, the recognition the most important channels of imported inflation moving, its causes, effects, ways and policies that reduce the negative effects. To achieve the research aim, the deductive approach was adopted through using descriptive method to describe and determine phenomenon. The most important conclusion is that the research found out that there are two channels to transmission imported inflation in world. The first channel is the direct channel (prices) and the second channel is the indirect (income). The most important recommendation is to create sovereign fund (O

Investigation of Solubility Enhancement Approaches of Ticagrelor
...Show More Authors

ABSTRACT

Ticagrelor is an orally administered antiplatelet medicine, direct-acting P2Y12-receptor antagonist. Ticagrelor binds reversibly and noncompetitively to the P2Y12 receptor at a site distinct from that of the endogenous agonist adenosine diphosphate (ADP). Inhibition of platelet aggregation stimulated by ADP is a commonly used pharmacodynamic parameter for P2Y12-receptor antagonists.

Ticagrelor is a crystalline powder with an aqueous solubility of approximately 10?g/mL at room temperature.

Adding Different Concentrations of Pomegranate Peels Alcoholic Extract and its Effect on Characteristics of Awassi Ram Semen Preserved at Cooling
...Show More Authors

The current study was conducted with an aim to know the effect of adding different concentrations of pomegranate peels alcoholic extract (PPAE) on the traits of Awassi ram semen stored at 5°C. Eight ejaculations from three Awassi rams were collected, mixed and diluted with TRIS extender. The semen samples were divided into four equal parts, and then the alcoholic extract of pomegranate peels was added at concentrations of 0, 100, 200 and 300 mg/ 1 ml of extender, which represented each of the treatments C, T1, T2 and T3, respectively. The samples were stored at 5 ° C and semen examinations were performed during periods 0, 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours after collection. Semen traits included calculation percentage of individual motility, viabili

The current research aims to identify "the impact of the round table strategies and the question of self-achievement and self-efficacy among students of the Faculty of Education in research methodology course.” The research sample consisted of (75) male and female-third stage students in the department of Life Sciences / College of Education for Pure Sciences / University of Dhi Qar for the academic year (2018-2019. The researcher adopted the experimental approach to achieving the study objectives. The researcher prepared two tools: the achievement test and the self-efficacy scale were applied to the collected sample to obtain the needed data. The result showed that there was a statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) b

Effect of iodine doping on the characteristics of polythiophene thin films prepared by aerosol assisted plasma jet polymerization at atmospheric pressure
...Show More Authors

Iodine-doped polythiophene thin films are prepared by aerosol assisted plasma jet polymerization at atmospheric pressure and room temperature. The doping of iodine was carried out in situ by employing iodine crystals in thiophene monomer by weight mixing ratios of 1%, 3%, 5% and 7%. The chemical composition analyses of pure and iodine-doped and heat-treated polythiophene thin films are carried out by FTIR spectroscopy studies. The optical band gaps of the films are evaluated from absorption spectrum studies. Direct transition energy gaps are determined from Tauc plots. The structural changes of polythiophene upon doping and the reduction of optical band gap are explained on the basis of the results obtained from FTIR spectroscopy, UV–V
