The problem of the research lies in choosing agility tests suitable to the test taker to observe the relative changes in some players. In addition to that, there are a lot of agility tests that lack special test models that coordinate gender and age. This means the youth basketball player on one hand and time and distance in applying the tests on the other. The importance of the research lies in designing agility tests for youth basketball players to achieve variations in tests a matter that will benefit coaches in their training. The subjects of the research were (30) youth basketball players from the specialized school of the National Center that sponsor gifted basketball players in Baghdad for the season 2014 – 2015. The data was collected and treated using proper statistical methods. The researchers concluded that agility tests were first applied in Iraqi environment thus they are qualified to be used along other tests in selecting basketball players. Finally the researchers recommended using agility tests in the continuous evaluation as well as using proper criteria as a reference during the selection process.
In this research, radon concentrations in some types of healthy drinking water samples available in Iraq's market were measured using a technique called Durridge RAD-7-H2O with closed loop. Then the rate of annual effective dose in human taken this water is determined.
It was found that, radon concentrations in studied samples ranged between 1.2 Bq.m-3 to 142 Bq.m-3. This study was carried out to determine the effects of some environmental variables on biodiversity index value of benthic invertebrates' community in samples that collected monthly from two adjacent sites nearby the confluence of Tigris and Diyala rivers within Baghdad city that’s from November 2007 - October 2008. Various activities taking place within the city of Baghdad have significantly contributed to organic pollution in Rivers Tigris and Diyala. The present study aimed to assess some physical, chemical and biological aspects of six sites on Rivers Tigris and Diyala as they flow through the city of Baghdad.
