Huge number of medical images are generated and needs for more storage capacity and bandwidth for transferring over the networks. Hybrid DWT-DCT compression algorithm is applied to compress the medical images by exploiting the features of both techniques. Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) coding is applied to image YCbCr color model which decompose image bands into four subbands (LL, HL, LH and HH). The LL subband is transformed into low and high frequency components using Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) to be quantize by scalar quantization that was applied on all image bands, the quantization parameters where reduced by half for the luminance band while it is the same for the chrominance bands to preserve the image quality, the zigzag scan is applied on the quantized coefficients and the output are encoded using DPCM, shift optimizer and shift coding for DC while adaptive RLE, shift optimizer then shift coding applied for AC, the other subbands; LH, HL and HH are compressed using the scalar quantization, Quadtree and shift optimizer then shift coding. In this paper, a new flipping block with an adaptive RLE is proposed and applied for image enhancement. After applying DCT system and scalar quantization, huge number of zeros produced with less number of other values, so an adaptive RLE is used to encode this RUN of zeros which results with more compression.Standard medical images are selected to be used as testing image materials such as CT-Scan, X-Ray, MRI these images are specially used for researches as a testing samples. The results showed high compression ratio with high quality reconstructed images
New 2-amino thiazole ,oxodiazole, sulphonilamide and diazin derivatives of N-(α-chloro aceto)-3-(tolyl imino)-5-bromo-2-oxo-indole(2) have been synthesized .The preparation process started by the reaction of 5-bromo isatin with P-toluidine in the presence of glacial acetic acid and dimethylformamide(DMF) as a solvent to give 3-(tolyl imino)5-bromo-1H-indole-2-one.(1), Compound (1) with sodium hydride in dimethylformamide(DMF) at 0C0 gave a suspension of the sodium salt of Schiff base derivative and subsequent reaction with monochloroacetylchloride obtained the intermediate compound(2).Compound(2) was reacted with different reagents in four routes. The first route involved direct reaction with substituted 2-aminobenzothiazole u

The produced polymers were characterized by different analyses FTIR, 1HCNMR, XRD, DSC and TGA. Solubility in water as well as many solvent was investigated, antibacterial activity of chitosan and its derivatives against two types of bacteria E. coli and S. aureus was also investigated. The results showed that derivatives sort of have antibacterial activities against Esherichia coli (Gram negative) better than chitosan whilst compound IX has better antibacterial against Staphylococcus aureus (Gram positive). SEM analysis showed that increase of surface roughness wi

The metal complexes of the Schiff base with Mn(II), Hg(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Co(II) metal ions were designed and characterized by magnetic susceptibility, elemental analyses, molar conduction, IR, and 1H NMR,UV-Vis spectral metrics. The UV-Vis. and magnetic susceptibility data of the complexes suggest a square-planar, tetrahedraland octahedral geometries around the central metal ions. All elaborations were accomplished after determination the optimum molar concentration and pH which followed law of Lambert-Beer's in the researches pH scopes. ... Show MoreIn this paper, a description of a design for new DES block cipher, namely DES64X and DES128X. The goals of this design, a part of its security level, are large implementation flexibility on various operating systems as well as high performances. The high level structure is based on the principle of DES and Feistel schema, and proposes the design of an efficient key-schedule algorithm which will output pseudorandomsequences of subkeys. The main goal is to reach the highest possible flexibility, in terms of round numbers, key size, and block size. A comparison of the proposed systems on 32-bit, 64-bit operating system, using 32-bit and 64-bit Java Virtual Machine (JVM), showed that the latter has much better performance than the former.
... Show MoreFive membered heterocyclics derivatives were synthesized in this work by three routes. The first route includes the synthesis of N-benzoic acid 1,2,3,-triazole derivatives (3),(4) by diazotation of methyl-2-amino benzoate and treating the resulted salt (1) with sodium azide and ethyl acetoacetate or acetyl acetone, respectively. In the second route, derivatives of pyrazole (8) pyrazolin-5-one (9), (10) were prepared by the reaction of the salt (1) with some active methylene compounds to give the corresponding hydrazones derivatives (5-7) which then they were treated with hydrazine hydrate. The third route afforded the synthesis of three derivatives (12), (15a), (15b) of thiazolidinone by two different methods. AII compounds were confirmed b

Show More Sixteen new complexes with the general formula [M(L)2(H2O)2] were prepared resulting from the reaction of the two new Schiff base ligands, which are: - L1= (E)-5-((2-hydroxybenzylidene)amino)-2-phenyl-2,4-dihydro-3H-pyrazol-3-one) L2 = (E)-5-((2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylidene)amino)-2-phenylpyrazolidin-3-one) With divalent metal ions (manganese, cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, cadmium, mercury) and (tetravalent platinum). Ligands was derived from the reaction of the amine (5-amino-2-phenyl-2,4-dihydro-3H-pyrazol-3-one) with Salicylaldehyde and ortho-vanillin, which is linked to the metal ions via the nitrogen atoms are the isomethene group and the oxygen is the hydroxide group of t

The prior information is described as linear stochastic restrictions. We study the properties and the performances of these estimators compared to other common estimators using the mean squared error as a criterion for the goodness of fit. A numerical example and a simulation study are proposed to explain the performance of the estimators.
