To study the comparative use of some soil minerals (zeolite, bentonite, phosphate rock, and limestone) in the adsorption and release of lead and its removal rates from its aqueous solutions using adsorption equations. Two laboratory experiments were carried out for the adsorption and release of lead. The adsorption experiment took 0.5 g of some of the above soil minerals. Lead was added as Pb (NO3)2 at levels of 3.0, 2.0, 1.5, 1.0, 0.5, and 0.0 mmol L-1 containing a concentration of 0.01M of calcium chloride. The experimental unit’s number was 72, the concentration of dissolved lead in the equilibrium solution was estimated and the amount of lead adsorbed was calculated. As for the lead release experiment, samples for the adsorption experiment were treated after separating filtrates from them with a calcium chloride solution with a concentration of 0.01 M. The amount of lead released was estimated. The percentage of lead removal was calculated. Results showed an increased concentration of dissolved lead in the equilibrium solution directly with increased levels of lead added to all materials. Materials were graded in concentrations of dissolved, adsorbed lead and values of maximum adsorption capacity of lead on different soil minerals surfaces as follows: zeolite > bentonite > phosphate rock > limestone, which reached 5000, 384.61, 769.23, and 2500 mg Pb kg-1, respectively. Binding energy was 0.0062, 0.0056, 0.0019, and 0.0049 L g-1, respectively. The amount of lead released from different adsorption materials varied, with the largest amount released in zeolite amounting to 322.10, 528.20, 696.90, 777.20, and 967.40 mg Pb kg-1 zeolite then bentonite, quantity reached 187.2, 272.8, 314.2, 324.0, and 375.6 mg Pb kg-1 bentonite, then phosphate rock, concentrations reached 65.80, 69.80, 77.60, 91.00, and 123.00 mg Pb kg-1 phosphate rock. Limestone came in fourth and last place in terms of the amount of lead released, concentrations were 25.10, 29.30, 35.00, 38.70, and 40.90 mg Pb L-1 for lead addition treatments of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 3.0 mmol L-1, respectively. Soil minerals used varied in their efficiency in removing lead from its aqueous solutions. Zeolite came in first place. Removal rate of lead reached 180.69%, then bentonite 95.47%, phosphate rock 18.48%, and finally limestone 58%.
Find the impediments Activity vital and important, but focuses a bancassurance activity, diagnosis and its impact on the financial ratios indicators for insurance companies. The researcher has adopted in his research on several financial ratios used to analyze the financial performance of a (relative profitability, liquidity ratio and the ratio of solvency) of the company Iraqi insurance for a period of one year (2009) to a year (2015), based on the annual reports and financial statements (balance sheet revealed income), financial statements for insurance premiums for banks research sample of this research has addressed several topics of theoretical and practical body through which the researcher obstacles to banking and insurance experi

Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), FTIR spectrometry, atomic force microscopy (AFM), and Brunauer Emmett Teller (BET) surface area were the techniques employed for the preparation. The particle size of prepared nano ZnO was 69.15nm and 88.49nm for precipitation and microemulsion methods, respectively, which corresponded to the BET surface area 20.028 and 16.369m2/g respectively. The activity of prepared nano ZnO as a photocatalyst was estimated by the removal of ampicillin (Amp) under visible light. This study, therefore, examined the effect of pH in the range of 5-11, initial concen

The method would be a reliable alternative to traditional ground improvement technique. It would be cost effective, sustainable and environmentally friendly. In this review paper, the behaviour of reinforced soil with plastic waste would be discussed including its suitability for pavement and road construction. The previous literature highlighted by authors will be reviewed in focus on type of treated soil, nature, shape, geometry, and amount of the added plastic waste. The aim of this review is to investigate the effect of granules and fibre plastic waste materials

A total of 21510 commercial chicken table eggs were checked and surveyed from retail markets in different popular regions of Baghdad city during a year period from January 3rd to December 28th of 2018 and its microbial contamination were studied. Results revealed that significant differences (P<0.01) were appeared in the studied microbial counts during months of the study and significant differences (P<0.01) in the average counts between broken and cracked eggs and sound (not bro

The purpose of present study was to compare wettability, tear strength and dimensional accuracy of three elastomeric impression materials, with the same consistencies (light-body). Three commercially available light body consistency and regular set 3M ESPE Express polyvinylsiloxane (PVS), 3M ESPE Permadyne polyether (PE), and Identium (ID), impression materials were comparedTear strength test, contact angle test and linear dimensional accuracy were evaluated for three elastic impression material. This may push people to use low-quality water like industrial-wastewater. The application of some chemical compounds to get rid of heavy metals such as cadmium is an environmentally harmful approach. It is well-known that heavy metals as cadmium may induce harmful problems when present in water and invade to soil, plants and food chain of a human being. In this case, man will be forced to use the low quality water in irrigation. Application of natural materials instead of chemicals to remove cadmium from polluted water is an environmental friendly approach. Attention was drawn in this research wor
