This article exposes how George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950) launches severe attacks against all the vices and the social maladies that were widely spread in his time especially the romantic notions about war and soldering. This study is a qualitative study. Through satire, George Bernard Shaw mocks on and ridicules all the follies and the misconceptions of the characters in war and militarism in his well-known play Arms and the Man (1894). Here the dramatist satirizes the romantic notions of war that glorify such a terrible event. Shaw’s message is that there can be peaceful alternatives to perpetual fighting. He was dedicated throughout his life to curbing violence, especially that of wars, and Arms and the Man was one of the vehicles he used to plead his case.
In this study, the relationship between the bare soil temperature with respect to its salinity is presented, the bare soil feature is considered only by eliminating all other land features by classifying the site location by using the support vector machine algorithm, in the same time the salinity index that calculated from the spectral response from the satellite bands is calibrated using empirical salinity value calculated from field soil samples. Isatin (1H-indole-2,3-dione) is an important molecule of heterocyclic compounds that have many biological activities. This paper is devoted to investigate the effect of burning by fire flame on the behavior and load carrying capacity of rectangular reinforced concrete rigid beams. Reduced scale beam models (which are believed to resemble as much as possible field conditions) were suggested. Five end restrained beam specimens were cast and tested. Single mode-no core-single mode fiber structure with a section of tuned no-core fiber diameter to sense changes in relative humidity has been experimentally demonstrated. The sensor performance with tuned NCF diameter was investigated to maximize the evanescent fields. Different tuned diameters of of (100, 80, and 60)μm were obtained by chemical etching process based on hydrofluoric acid immersion.
