The study aims to enrich the information of planners, policymakers, and water resources managers for planning and operating dams. This research aims to address the following question: What are the environmental, economic, and social impacts of the construction and operation of dams on the environment and society? The study assumes that good management is the ideal solution to solve the problems of negative effects resulting from the construction and operation of dams. The research relied on the descriptive analytical approach in studying the positive and negative impacts of Haditha Dam and the government's role. A questionnaire was conducted for 30 specialists in urban and regional planning to find out the most important strategies for sustainable management. The questionnaire was validated and reliable to ensure the validity of the questions selected for the study. Cronbach's alpha value (α = 0.82) was good and acceptable. The study concluded the importance of involving stakeholders in the planning and decision-making process, with a survey response rate of approximately 70%. Sixty percent of respondents believe that monitoring and decision support systems represent a challenge for decision-makers in the sustainable management process. The study recommends the importance of enhancing local community participation and improving focus on sustainability mechanisms to achieve maximum benefit from dams for society. The research recommends enhancing the contribution of the local community in the decision-making process and conducting a “follow-up” to assess the environmental impact, economic returns, and social impacts resulting from the operation and construction of the dam. © (2025), (International Information and Engineering Technology Association). Here, the effect of lead on biofilm formation by Bacillus spp. isolated from soil in terms of biofilm formation and remove was studied. In present study, 10 isolates of Bacillus spp were isolated from soil. The ability of all isolates to form biofilm was evaluated. The effect of lead on biofilm formation was studied by adding lead (pb) before forming biofilm. In another experiment the lead was added after biofilm formation to study the effect of lead on biofilm remove. The current study, showed the ability of all studied isolates to form biofilm. Maximum biofilm formation by Bacillus spp isolate number 8 (B8) follow

As this necessitates the updating and changing of it in order to achieve its strategic goals and enhance its technological advantage. The research problem looked at the role of the information technology system (ITS) in enhancing risk management in general directorates for sports and school activity from the viewpoint of its department heads. The research aimed at the relationship of information techno-strategy in risk management and the ratios of the contribution of information techno-strategy in risk management from the viewpoint of heads o

The functional banking system can effectively perform several functions such as mobilizing savings, allocating credit, monitoring managers, transforming risks, and facilitating the financial transactions. This paper aims to measure the impact of banking system development on economic growth in Iraq. Credit to private sector divided by GDP used as a proxy of banking development. Real per capita GDP used as a proxy of economic growth. By using Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model, the paper finds that the undeveloped Iraqi banking system could not promote economic growth in the country. Therefore, a variety of policies need to be taken to spur the role of bankin

Fuzzy AHP, a multi-decision decision-making technique for evaluating construction projects. Which when used we get the speed and accuracy in the results. Using this technique will reduce uncertainties decisions significantly (fuzzy environment), that found in most projects .The results of the data analysis showed that the economic standards take the greatest relative importance (60%) among the three sustainability standards. Therefore, the implementation of any standards need a cost so the economic benefit of any proje

It is a synthesis of evidence based on recent research (2020-2026) on four modulators that relate to each other physically: exercise, high-altitude hypoxia, climate change-induced high and low temperatures, and consumption of non-nutritive sugar substitutes such as erythritol. Adaptive changes that are generally observed in response to exercise and altitude are increased erythropoiesis and improved vascular functions, whereas maladaptive changes, including oxidative stress, inflammator

Because nanoparticles behave differently from dissolved chemicals, the environmental risks of these materials could differ from conventional pesticides. We used soil–earthworm systems to compare the fate and uptake of analytical‐grade bifenthrin to that of bifenthrin in traditional and nanoencapsulated formulations. Apparent sorption coefficients for bifenthrin were up to 3.8 times lower in the nano treatments than in the non‐nano treatments, whereas dissipation half‐lives of the nano treatments were up to 2 times longer. Earthworms in the nano treatments accumulated approximately 50% more b
An experimental study was conducted on pressure drop of water flow through vertical cylindrical packed beds in turbulent region and the influence of the operating parameters on its behavior. The bed packing was made of spherical and non-spherical particles (spheres, Rasching rings and intalox saddle) with aspect ratio range 3.46 D/dp 8.486 obtaining bed porosities 0.396 0.84 and Reynolds number 1217 21758. The system is consisted of 5 cm inside diameter Perspex column, 50 cm long; distilled water was pumped through the bed with flow rate 875, 1000, 1125, 1250,1375 and 1500 l/h and inlet water temperature 20, 30, 40 and 50 ˚C.
