Developed Material Balance Approach for Estimating Gas Initially in Place and Ultimate Recovery for Tight Gas Reservoirs
...Show More Authors
Abstract
The gas material balance equation (MBE) has been widely used as a practical as well as a simple tool to estimate gas initially in place (GIIP), and the ultimate recovery (UR) factor of a gas reservoir. The classical form of the gas material balance equation is developed by considering the reservoir as a simple tank model, in which the relationship between the pressure/gas compressibility factor (p/z) and cumulative gas production (Gp) is generally appeared to be linear. This linear plot is usually extrapolated to estimate GIIP at zero pressure, and UR factor for a given abandonment pressure. While this assumption is reasonable to some extent for conventional reservoirs, this may incur significant error when applied for unconventional tight gas reservoirs. The implementation of multi-tank, compartmented reservoir models are reported to better represent the behaviour of tight gas reservoirs. This study focus to develop a simple numerical method to solve the MBE using the concept of multi-tank, compartmented reservoir model. A simple and practical computational tool is developed by solving the numerical model using False Position iterative method. The tool is applied to calculate GIIP and UR factor for an Australian tight gas field after validation of tool based on history matching. The results demonstrated that the developed tool can be used for the better estimation of GIIP and UR factor with better accuracy. The program can also be used as an efficient tool, especially in the case of homogenous tight gas reservoir, as an alternative to the reservoir simulation to understand the pressure decline behaviour with cumulative gas production; and to estimate GIIP and UR factor.

Development of A New Colorimetric-Flow System Approach for The Determination of Cefotaxime Sodium in Pharmaceutical Formulations
...Show More Authors

A new colorimetric-flow injection method has been developed and validated for the detection of Cefotaxime sodium in pharmaceutical formulations. This method stands out for its rapid and sensitive nature. The formation of a brown-colored complex between Cefotaxime sodium and the Biuret reagent in a highly alkaline environment serves as the basis for the detection. The intensity of this colored complex is measured using a custom-built Continuous Flow Injection Analyzer, enabling accurate quantification of Cefotaxime sodium. Optimization studies of the chemical and physical parameters such as dilution of Biuret reagent, effect of the medium basicity, flow rate, sample loop and others have been investigated. The calibration gra

An Evaluation Study of the Classroom Activities within the Developed English Course (Flying High) for the High School First- Grade Students in View of Creative Thinking Skills
...Show More Authors

The study aims to examine the classroom activities of the developed English course (Flying High) for the high school first-grade students, identify creative thinking skills appropriate for this grade, and show the extent the classroom activities involve these skills from the female- teachers ‘point of view. The study adopted the descriptive survey method. The study community consists of all (50) English female-teachers who teach high school first grade in Arar city during the academic year (1440 -1441 A.H, the first semester). The study was applied to all respondents. The researcher used a questionnaire as a study tool. The study revealed that the female-teachers reported their disagreement and refusal of the classroom activities in th

From Friendship to Fracture: The Role of Place in Lynn Nottage’s Sweat
...Show More Authors

Human relationships are shaped and affected by the place they live in. This article analyzes Lynn Nottage’s Sweat from the perspective of spatial theory, particularly using the theories of Yi-Fu Tuan and Doreen Massey, to explore the complex connection between place and human relationships. The article examines how Nottage presents the reciprocal effect between people and their setting. By examining the city, the factory, and the local community around it, the study shows how place serves as a dynamic force that shapes the characters’ identities and relationships rather than just serving as a background. While Massey’s concept of place as a product of social relations offers a framework to explore the tensions and solidarity that aris

Transient Behavior Analysis for Solar Energy Storage in PCM-CFM Material Using Equivalent Heat Capacity Method as Storage Model
...Show More Authors

A paraffin wax and copper foam matrix were used as a thermal energy storage material in the double passes air solar chimney (SC) collector to get ventilation effect through daytime and after sunset. Air SC collector was installed in the south wall of an insulated test room and tested with different working angles (30o, 45o and 60o). Different SC types were used; single pass, double passes flat plate collector and double pass thermal energy storage box collector (TESB). A computational model based on the finite volume method for transient tw dimensional domains was carried out to describe the heat transfer and storage in the thermal energy storage material of collector. Also, equivalent specific heat metho

Balance is considered one of the most important components of physical activity in individual and team sports because it allows proper motor response and performance accuracy. The problem of the research lies in the lack of model for motor balance tests in the field of sports that require different positions and movements for classifying, selecting, diagnosing, and comparing athletes. The importance of the research lies in designing a test for motor balance as a reference for specialists in the field of sports and sport sciences. The subjects were first year College of physical education and sport sciences students / Baghdad University 2016 – 2017. The data was collected and treated using proper statistical operations. Background: Neonatal septicemia is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide especially so in developing countries. To reduce the mortality caused by neonatal septicemia, it became vital to diagnose it as soon as possible and treat with administration of appropriate antibiotics. Objective: To study the relationship between themicroorganisms isolated from septicemic neonates with place of delivery.Patients and Methods: Blood sample was obtained from 76 neonates (50 of them are born in Baghdad teaching hospital (Inborn), 26 of the babies are born at home or in Al-Elwya teaching hospital (out born) ,the laboratory diagnosis for the out born patients done in the same hospital(Al-Elwya teaching hospital .The aged of the neo
