Comparison of Maximum Likelihood and some Bayes Estimators for Maxwell Distribution based on Non-informative Priors
...Show More Authors

In this paper, Bayes estimators of the parameter of Maxwell distribution have been derived along with maximum likelihood estimator. The non-informative priors; Jeffreys and the extension of Jeffreys prior information has been considered under two different loss functions, the squared error loss function and the modified squared error loss function for comparison purpose. A simulation study has been developed in order to gain an insight into the performance on small, moderate and large samples. The performance of these estimators has been explored numerically under different conditions. The efficiency for the estimators was compared according to the mean square error MSE. The results of comparison by MSE show that the efficiency of Bayes estimators of the shape parameter of the Maxwell distribution decreases with the increase of Jeffreys prior constants. The results also show that values of Bayes estimators are almost close to the maximum likelihood estimator when the Jeffreys prior constants are small, yet they are identical in some certain cases. Comparison with respect to loss functions show that Bayes estimators under the modified squared error loss function has greater MSE than the squared error loss function especially with the increase of r.

Revaluation of Student Failure Reasons Using Non-Additive Methods
...Show More Authors

In this paper, An application of non-additive measures for re-evaluating the degree of importance of some student failure reasons has been discussed. We apply non-additive fuzzy integral model (Sugeno, Shilkret and Choquet) integrals for some expected factors which effect student examination performance for different students' cases.

The rights of non-Muslims in the Islamic state

The Islamic religion is a religion of tolerance and is pleased with worship and other legislation and the idea of peace is an authentic and profound idea related to the call for coexistence with all religions. The Prophet (PBUH) was keen to organize his relations with non-Muslims on the basis of cohabitation, On the basis of love and intolerance, God Almighty says: "If your Lord wants to make people one nation and they are still backward." Surah Hud: 118 Islam has taken care of the people and made them tolerant brothers who sympathize with their different beliefs. Which means that everyone has the right to live, believe and believe what he sees right and have the freedom to perform the acts of worship and beliefs he deems correct. The di

Non-Isothermal Crystallization Kinetics Model of PBT/ MWCNTs Nanocomposites
...Show More Authors

The non-isothermal crystallization kinetics and crystalline properties of nanocomposites poly butyleneterephthalate, [PBT] /multiwalled-carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were tested by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). PBT/(MWCNTs) nanocomposite was prepared by ultrasonicated of MWCNTs (0.5, 1, 2, 4 wt %) in dichloromethane (DCM) and after that the powdered PBT polymer was added to the MWCNTs solution. The non-isothermal crystallization results show that increasing the MWCNTs contents, decreased the melting temperature (Tm) of PBT/(MWCNTs) nanocomposite as compared with pure PBT, while resulting in improving the degree of crystallinity. These results indicated that a little amount of MWCNTs can be evident strong nucleating agent in PBT na

Strain specificity in antimicrobial activity of non-thermal plasma
...Show More Authors

Non-thermal (low-temperature) plasma may act as an alternative approach to control superficial wound and skin infections when the effectiveness of chemical agents is weak due to natural pathogen or biofilm resistance. In this paper an atmospheric pressure plasma needle jet device which generates a cold plasma jet is used to measure the effectiveness of plasma treatment against different pathogenic bacteria and to test the individual susceptibility of pathogenic bacteria to non-thermal argon plasma. It is found that, Gram-negative bacteria were more susceptible to plasma treatment than Gram-positive bacteria. For the Gram-negative bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa, there were no survivors among the initial 1x108C.F.U (Co

Urodynamic finding of patients with non-monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis
...Show More Authors

Background. Nocturnal enuresis (NE), defined as intermittent involuntary urine leakage during sleep, affects approximately 16% of children at age 5 and 10% at age 7, with prevalence declining with age. Aim. To evaluate the urodynamic features of patients with non-monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis (NMNE). Methods. This cross-sectional study was conducted from June 2015 to September 2020 in a surgical subspecialty hospital within a major medical city complex, including 237 patients. Eligible patients were older than seven years, diagnosed with NMNE, and had refractory enuresis, defined as persistent symptoms despite at least six months of continuous medical treatment. All patients underwent a detailed history, bladder diary review, c

Residual post fire strength of non-prismatic perforated beams
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>The main aim of this study is to assess the performance and residual strength of post-fire non-prismatic reinforced concrete beams (NPRC) with and without openings. To do this, nine beams were cast and divided into three major groupings. These groups were classified based on the degrees of heating exposure temperature chosen (ambient, 400, and 700°C), with each group containing three non-prismatic beams (solid, 8 trapezoidal openings, and 8 circular openings). Experimentally, given the same beam geometry, increasing burning temperature caused degradation in NPRC beams, which was reflected in increased mid-span deflection throughout the fire exposure period and also residual deflectio</p> ... The Impact of Arabic Poetry and Proverbs in Teaching English to Non-Native Speakers

Knowledge of literature is an integral part of learning any spoken language. Learning literature expands the learner’s ability to understand the language studied. The field of literature is wide and cannot be limited to poems. It includes the etiquettes of a language and its environment, customs, and traditions etc. The Arabic language is among the languages with a centuries old history. It has achieved remarkable record accomplishments since the pre-Islamic era through to the present. This development is clear evidence of the great importance of literature in the revival of the Arabic language through different eras. As such, in Malaysia and other non-Arabic speaking countries, literature is taught in most schools, institutions and un

Non-traded Tales in Imami and Hanafi Doctrines (A Comparative Study of Religion Fundamentals)
...Show More Authors

The present study is about tales attributed to certain people and are not traded. Such a study has a great importance for religion scholars and conveyors of hadiths since it is considered as one of the important sources of Islamic legislation that represent the Holy Sunna, and the majority of the recent study is concerned with non-traded tales of religion scholars. The research starts with the definition of such type of tales and then its types, conditions, legality, exceptions, and the benefit from studying such matter. It is mainly concerned with the opinions of the Imami and Hanafi region scholars respectively, and with comparing between the two doctrines i.e. Imami and Hanafi at the end of each
