In this study, thin films of pure titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ) and titanium dioxide dual mixed with zinc oxide (ZnO) and magnesium oxide (MgO) with varying concentrations of (ZnO: MgO) x ranging from 0 to 30 wt% undoped and doped gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) were prepared on glass using the chemical spray pyrolysis (CSP) technique. The morphological, structural, and sensing properties of the prepared thin films were examined. Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) analysis revealed that these films exhibit a consistent structure before and after doping. Initially, the roughness of these films was observed to increase upon the introduction of impurities (ZnO: MgO) x . This trend reversed at x = 0.20, where a decrease in roughness occurred. Interestingly, a subsequent decrease in the roughness of all films was noted after doping with AuNPs. Gas sensing measurements were carried out through resistance measurements in the absence of, and exposure to, reducing gas (H 2S) and oxidizing gas (NO2 ). The results showed that sensitivity increased significantly after addition of dual oxides (ZnO: MgO)x . The maximum sensitivity (147%) was obtained at a 2% mixing ratio and an operating temperature of 523 K for NO2and H 2 S gases. The gas sensitivity retarded by addition of gold NPs.
Undoped and Iodine (I)–doped chrome oxide (Cr2O3)thin films have been prepared by chemical spray pyrolysis technique at substrate temperatures(773K) on glass substrate. Absorbance and transmittance spectra have been recorded as a function of wavelength in the range (340-800 nm) in order to study the optical properties such as reflectance, Energy gap of allowed direct transition, extinction coefficient refractive index, and dielectric constant in real and imagery parts all as a function of wavelength. It was found that all the investigated parameters affect by the doping ratios.
Spray pyrolysis technique was used to make Carbon60-Zinc oxide (C60-ZnO) thin films, and chemical, structural, antibacterial, and optical characterizations regarding such nanocomposite have been done prior to and following treatment. Fullerene peaks in C60-ZnO thin films are identical and appear at the same angles. Following the treatment of the plasma, the existence regarding fullerene peaks in the thin films investigated suggests that the crystallographic quality related to C60-ZnO thin films has enhanced. Following plasma treatment, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) images regarding a C60-ZnO thin film indicate that both zinc oxide and fullerene particles had shrunk in the size and have an even distribution. AlxSb1-x compounds with different aluminum content(x=0.1, 0.3 , 0.5 , 0.7 and 0.9 ) were prepared by mixing the two elements in the appropriate ratios in quartz ampulla which then sealed and put in an oven at 1273 and left 5 hours. The obtained powder were grinded and then pressed in pellets shape which will be the target to prepare thin films samples. AlxSb1-x thin films were synthesized by PLD with ~ 150nm in thickness .The structures of AlxSb1-x powders and thin films were determined using X–ray diffraction. The data revealed that all the prepare AlxSb1-x bulk and thin films have polycrystalline . The results showed that increasing of Al reduced the crystallinity of the prepared samples at the first but then the opposite take pla
... Show MoreCr2O3 thin films have been prepared by spray pyrolysis on a glass substrate. Absorbance and transmittance spectra were recorded in the wavelength range (300-900) nm before and after annealing. The effects of annealing temperature on absorption coefficient, refractive index, extinction coefficient, real and imaginary parts of dielectric constant and optical conductivity were expected. It was found that all these parameters increase as the annealing temperature increased to 550°C.
Pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique was applied to prepared Chromium oxide (Cr2O3) nanostructure doped with Titanium oxide (TiO2) thin films at different concentration ratios 3,5,7 and 9 wt % of TiO2. The effect of TiO2 dopant on the average size of crystallite of the synthesized nanostructures was examined by X-ray diffraction. The morphological properties were discussed using atomic force microscopy(AFM). Observed optical band gap value ranged from 2.68 eV to 2.55 eV by ultraviolet visible(UV-Vis.) absorption spectroscopy with longer wave length shifted in comparison with that of the bulk Cr2O3 ~3eV. This indicated that the synthesized samples a

Effect of [Cu/In] ratio on the optical properties of CuInS2 thin films prepared by chemical spray pyrolysis on glass slides at 300oC was studied. The optical characteristics of the prepared thin films have been investigated using UV-VIS spectrophotometer in the wavelength range (300-1100 nm). The films have a direct allow electronic transition with optical energy gap (Eg) decreased from 1.51 eV to 1.30 eV with increasing of [Cu/In] ratio and as well as we notice that films have different behavior when annealed the films in the temperature 100oC (1h,2h), 200oC (1h,2h) for [Cu/In]=1.4 . Also the extinction coefficient (k), refractive index (n) and the real and imaginary dielectric constants (ε1, ε2) have been investigated
