Background: Parenteral nutrition (PN) is a life‑saving intervention for neonates who are unable to meet their nutritional requirements through enteral feeding. Despite its essential role, PN is frequently associated with metabolic, electrolyte, and hepatobiliary complications. Objective: To evaluate the frequency and pattern of metabolic, electrolyte, and hepatobiliary complications associated with PN administration in neonates. Methods: A prospective case-series study was conducted in two tertiary neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) in Baghdad, Iraq. Term and preterm neonates who received PN for at least five days were included. PN‑related metabolic, electrolyte, hepatobiliary, and hematological complications were recorded and analyzed. Results: Of the 94 neonates included in the primary outcome. The incidence of hypoglycemia is 35.1%, and hyperglycemia is 31.9%. Cholestasis 11.7%, hypokalemia 20.2%, hyponatremia 18%, hypocalcemia 27.6%, and thrombocytopenia 28.7%. The mean ± standard deviation of gestational age was 32.1±3.8 weeks; for postnatal age at the start of PN, it was 9.72±17.4 days; for the duration of TPN exposure, it was 12.65±9.27 days; and for the weight of the patients at the start and end of TPN, it was 1.7±0.70 and 1.84±0.74 kg, respectively. Conclusions: PN‑related metabolic, electrolyte, and hepatobiliary complications are common in neonates. Close monitoring and individualized PN management are essential to improve neonatal outcomes.
The Sebkha is considered the evaporative geomorphological features, where climate plays an active role. It forms part of the surface features in Mesopotamia plain of Iraqi, which is the most fertile lands, and because of complimentary natural and human factors turned most of the arable land to the territory of Sebkha lands. In this research a mathematical model was developed to predict biochemical oxygen demand in the waste water discharged from Abu-Ghraib diary factory in Baghdad using Artificial Neural Network (ANN).In this study the best selection of the input data were selected from the recorded parameters of the wastewater from the factory. The ANN model developed was built up with the following parameters: Chemical oxygen demand, Dissolved oxygen, pH, Total dissolved solids, Total suspended solids, Sulphate, Phosphate, Chloride and Influent flow rate. The results indicated that the constructed A

Several findings, based on the au-thor's extensive expertise instructing basketball materials and our closeness to the sample, revealed deficits in some sensory perceptions “in the game of basketball”, which impair the accuracy of passing the ball to the best team-mate. It also affects the pace of dribbling and the difficulty of selecting the op-timal moment and distance to fire. Therefore, the researcher designs qualita-tive activities based on many sensory experiences, including distance, speed, force, and direction shift. In addition, the

Among all metal nanoparticles, selenium nanoparticles have attracted the attention of many researchers due to its low toxicity and nutritional supplementation value. The purpose of the current study was designed to examine the possible effect of selenium nanoparticles in combination with fenugreek leaves extract (an edible herb with good medicinal properties) in the treatment of oxidative stress status-related to polycystic ovary syndrome in letrozole-induced PCOS (an imbalance of reproductive hormones that causes infertility) in adult female rats. Cold plasma was used in the preparation of selenium nanoparticles subsequently the prod

The method is based on the reaction of Co(II) with ethyl cyano(2-methyl carboxylate phenyl azo acetate) (ECA) in acid medium of hydrochloric acid (0.1 M) givining maximum absorbance at ((λmax = 656 nm). Beer's law is obeyed over the concentration range (5-60) (μg / ml) with molar absorptivity of (1.5263 × 103 L mol-1 cm-1) and correlation coefficient (0.9995). The precision (RSD% ˂ 1%). The stoichiometry of complex was confirmed by Job's method which indicated the ratio of metal to reagent is (2:1).
