This study seeks to clarify the phenomena of polyphony, as Oswald Ducrot indicated that polyphony is an extension of linguistics, and worked to link it to vocalisation which contains vocable ends, which led Ducrot to a similar example between (speaker and vocable). He indicated that the speaker was responsible for the pronunciation In the speech, and its phenomena: dialectical denial, irony, and referral references, which came to highlight the pragmatics texts and then explain the phenomena of semantic blocks and examples in Naguib Mahfouz's novels and stories.

This practical research aims to study playfulness in Al- A'sha's poetry by analyzing the context and rhetorical interaction between the poetic text and the various sources and quotations it contains. The study aimed to identify the perceptions of social studies teachers in the Governorate of Muscat about the importance of employing the skills of the twenty-first century in teaching. The study employed a qualitative approach. The two researchers used an analytical approach based on the Grounded Theory, the data was gathered through semi-structured interviews with (15) male and female teachers. The results indicated that social studies teachers relate the twenty-first-century skills more to improving students’ achievement level in the subject, while they see that these skills have less influence in developing students’ communication skills and cooperation with their peers. Linguistic taboos exist in most cultures. Tabooed words are generally being culturespecific
and relating to bodily functions or aspects of a culture that are sacred. Such words are
avoided, considered inappropriate and loaded with affective meaning and failing to adhere to.
Strict rules, often, governing their use and lead to punishment or public shame. These taboo
words can be used as a way of violating social deixis represented by four types of honorifics;
addressee, referent, bystander, and finally setting honorifics. This paper shows how these
