Education received the attention of the monarchy in Iraq, especially after the developments that the country witnessed after Iraq gained independence and joined the League of Nations in 1932 AD in all political, economic and cultural aspects. In this regard, due to its distinguished geographical location, where the atmosphere, the natural environment and the religious and political standing were available, which made it a center of attraction for most Iraqi families and political figures. Learning and pioneering the path of knowledge, so it witnessed a great prosperity in secondary education, so several important schools appeared that contributed to advancing the wheel of learning forward, including Baghdad College High School, which was founded under the auspices of Jesuit parents and became a model for secondary schools in Iraq in terms of teaching levels, scientific levels for students, and the degree of high discipline they have, and I promised Adhamiya High School For boys, one of the leading scientific and educational institutions In Iraq, as it occupied a distinguished position among the secondary schools for boys, and as a result of the increased awareness among the sons of Adhamiya, several secondary schools for girls were opened, such as Al-Adhamiya Secondary School for Girls and Al-Hariri Secondary School for Girls, who returned from the prominent Adhamiya schools for girls due to their good organization and exemplary managemen.

Abstract
The current study aims to identify the resilience of university students, as well as identify the differences in resilience according to the variable of gender and specialization. The research sample consisted of (382) students studying at Baghdad University. To measure Resilience, a questionnaire of (48) items was designed to collect the needed data. The results showed that the students of the University of Baghdad possess resilience. There are no differences in resilience according to gender and specialization.
Aim of the research is the study of improving the performance of the thermal station south Baghdad and the main reasons for reduced its efficiency. South Baghdad power planet comprises (6) steam turbine units and (18) gas turbine units .The gas turbine units are composed of two groups: the first group is made up of gas units (1,2), each of capacity (123) MW. The design efficiency of gas turbine units is 32%. The actual efficiency data of steam units is 18.3% instead of 45% which is the design efficiency.
