This study is concerned with providing an objective, artistic study of the role of women in the pre-Islamic era, and extracting that status from the most important sources that express the language of that era, which is pre-Islamic poetry. Among the most prominent conclusions reached by the study: The model of women developed among poets in the pre-Islamic era, so they presented lengthy models for women, such as the models presented by Al-Asha for women in many places and on different occasions. The current study dealt with anatomical aspects of species Iresine herbstii Hook.ex Lindl. which is the only species resemble the genus Iresine P.Br in Iraq . This species is considered as a new record in Iraq as it wasn’t mentioned within any resource of Iraqi plants.
