Survey theopinions professional and academics on building the strategy of internal audit function and the possibility of keeping abreast of developments
...Show More Authors

The research problem is clearly deficient suffered by the internal audit function in all institutions of Iraq, as a result of the lack of sponsor organizations for this profession and there is no law or local legislation determine its powers and its responsibilities and scope of work As well as the lack of interest of senior management in economic units that function, as it focuses its work on the scope of financial and accounting matters only So required to rebuild this function in line with the current developments as well as the lack of a framework that defines the strategy of this function, and it came the idea of research to find out how to create a regulatory method for re-strategic construction of the internal audit function depending on the standards internal IIA InstituteAnd taking into account a framework COSO and COBIT, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act,surveyed a sample of accountants, academics and professionals working in the sector, states and the private sector and the views of auditors as well as members of the boards of some companies in Iraq, about the status of a proposed framework for the internal audit function.

Abstract
Objective: To assess pregnant women Knowledge toward Urinary Tract Infection at Kirkuk City.

Methodology: A descriptive and analytical study was conducted from 1st of November 2013 and up to the 19 th of August 2014 in five typical primary health care centers at Kirkuk City. A Probability (randomly sample) was used to select the sample of 180 women aged (15-44) years. A questionnaire format was used as a tool for data collection , content validity of the questionnaire achieved through reviewing it by (24) experts in numerous scientific fields and reliability of the questionnaire was determined through a pilot study. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data.

New records of Naidid worms (Oligochaeta: Naididae) in Euphrates River: Haifa J. Jaweir|Elham O.S. Al- Janabi
...Show More Authors

Naidid worms were sorted from 27 samples of aquatic macrophyta including ceratophyllum demersum , Potamogeton crispus and, Hydrilla verticellat with associated filamentous algae were collected from Euphrates River at Al-Mussayab city, 60 Km southwest Baghdad. The result of sorted worms revealed the presence of eight species of subfamily Naidinae, which are consider as new records for Iraq, including Stephensoniana trivandrana; Paranais frici, Ophidonais serpentine, Specaria josinae, Dero (Dero) evelinae , Dero (Aulophorus) indicus , Nais pseudobtusa and finally N. stolci. This investigation includes morphological descriptions for each species illustrated by identification criteria photos.

Photo Response of Locally Isolated Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus to Q-switched Nd:YAG Laser In Vitro Study
...Show More Authors

This prospective study investigates the prevalence of methicillin-resistant S.aureus (MRSA)
in burn unit of Al-Kindy Iraqi hospital, their susceptibility to antibiotics and bactericidal effect of near
infrared light from high powered 1064nm Nd: YAG laser and green light 532nm from SHG Nd: YAG laser
using various energy densities on these bacteria. Twenty four clinical isolates of S.aureus out of sixty
four examined patients with sever burn ulcers.MRSA was associated with 50% of S.aureus infections
.Results of antimicrobial susceptibility revealed that MRSA were multidrug resistant. After laser treatment
of non MRSA with Nd:YAG with wavelength of 1.064nm, 4mm beam diameter, energy density of

Interleukin-38 (il-38) is a Novel Biochemical Marker in Sera of Iraqi Patients with Alzheimers Disease
...Show More Authors

ABSTRACT : Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is one of the most common inflammatory neurodegenerative diseases linked with dementia, it is characterized by the deposition of amyloid beta-peptide (Ab) in the brain. The present study aims to innovate a biochemical relationship between AD and interleukin 38 (IL-38) as an anti-inflammatory cytokine, expose novel mechanisms and concepts regarding other biochemical parameters studied previously or recently in AD patients and also examine the biochemical action of memantine (10 mg daily) on AD patients. Sixty (60) diagnosed AD patients participated in the present study and classified into four (4) groups: G3 were composed of (15) newly diagnosed males (52-78) years / without treatment, G4 composed of (15

Modified Grid Clustering Technique to Predict Heat Transfer Coefficient in a Duct of Arbitrary Cross Section Area
...Show More Authors

A simple straightforward mathematical method has been developed to cluster grid nodes on a boundary segment of an arbitrary geometry that can be fitted by a relevant polynomial. The method of solution is accomplished in two steps. At the first step, the length of the boundary segment is evaluated by using the mean value theorem, then grids are clustered as desired, using relevant linear clustering functions. At the second step, as the coordinates cell nodes have been computed and the incremental distance between each two nodes has been evaluated, the original coordinate of each node is then computed utilizing the same fitted polynomial with the mean value theorem but reversibly.

The method is utilized to predict

A Comparative Study of Optimal Fuzzy Logic Controllers for Blade Pitch Angle in Horizontal-axis Wind Turbines
...Show More Authors

The blade pitch angle (BPA) in wind turbine (WT) is controlled to maximize output power generation above the rated wind speed (WS). In this paper, four types of controllers are suggested and compared for BPA controller in WT: PID controller (PIDC), type-1 fuzzy logic controller (T1-FLC), type-2 fuzzy logic controller (T2-FLC), and hybrid fuzzy-PID controller (FPIDC). The Mamdani and Sugeno fuzzy inference systems (FIS) have been compared to find the best inference system used in FLC. Genetic algorithm (GA) and Particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO) are used to find the optimal tuning of the PID parameter. The results of500-kw horizontal-axis wind turbine show that PIDC based on PSO can reduced 2.81% in summation error of power
