The main purpose of this research aims to measure the role of banking strategies marketing in achieving competitive advantage within a sample of Iraqi private banks, and in order to achieve this purpose, the researcher depend on number of sober research approaches which consisted of descriptive, analytical and practical methodologies, to strengthen concepts addressed by the research, size of the sample was (56) individuals which makes up the senior leadership represented (Chairman and members of the Board of Directors, Commissioners and their assistants and department heads) while the primary tool for research (questionnaire), which has been designed based on a number of solemn scientific metrics, after adapted these metrics commensurate with the requirements of the Iraqi environment . Data that were collected through the search tool as well as the annual financial reports have been analyzed using a number of statistical tools in (SPSS.v.19) software package to get the related results. Then, the program (Excel.2010) was used to extract the financial indicators to determine the performance of banks in the sample. In the net result, the research has concluded to a number of conclusions which include: The results confirmed the presence of correlation and impact between bank marketing strategies and competitive advantage; also we found that the sample’s banks adopt a defense strategy and a high rational strategy over the strategic offensive. As most of the notable recommendations made by the current research are the necessity for bank managements to invest the positive nature of the relationship between the bank marketing strategies and competitive advantage to draw the strategic marketing direction and to build a marketing vision for top leaders.

An aromatic ester containing two azo groups namely p-nitro phenyl azo-β-naphthyl-(4'-azobenzoic acid)-4-benzoate was synthesized by esterfiaction of 4,4'-azo dibenzoic acid with p-nitro phenyl azo-β-naphthol. Synthesized ester was characterized by CHN-Elemental analysis, FTIR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR. A modified PVA polymer was obtained by grafting 10 g of PVA-polymer via partial esterification with (2, 3, 4 g) p-nitro phenyl azo-1-naphthyl-4-azobenzoic acid)-4-azo benzoate. Grafting PVA-polymer behaviours was studied, by physical measurements (solubility, swelling), thermal properties (DSC) and tensile.
Polymer metal complexes of poly ethylene glycol acetal and Ag (I), Cu (II), Ni (II), Mn (II), Co (III) and Hg (II) were prepared from the reaction of PEG with aldehyde derived fromErythro-ascorbic acid (pentulosono-ɣ-lactone-2, 3- enedianisoate). These Schiff bases were found to react with maleic anhydride to give 2-Aryl-3-(m-nitrophenyl)-2, 3-dihydro [1, 3] oxazepine–4, 7–diones and with phthalic anhydride to give 2-Aryl-3–(m-nitrophenyl)–2, 3–dihydrobenz|| 1, 2-e|||| 1, 3] oxazepine–4, 7-diones which were reacted with pyrrolidine to give the anilide–pyrrolidides of maleic acid and phthalic acid.
Complexes reaction of Fe+2, Cd+2, Hg+2 and Ag+ with the 2-thiotolylurea were prepared in ethanolic medium with the (1:1) M:L ratio yielded a series of neutral complexes. The prepared complexes were characterized using flame atomic absorption, micoelemental analysis (C.H.N), chloride content (Mohr Method) , FT.IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic, as well as magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurement. From the above data, the proposed molecular structure for Fe+2, Cd+2 and Hg+2 complexes are tetrahedral geometry while Ag+ complex is trigonal structure.
The azo Schiff base [Reaction of 4-aminoanypyrine and P-hydroxy acetophenone] and O-Phenylene diamine have been prepared. One azo Schiff base chelate of Co(Il), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II)ion was also prepared. The chemical frameworks of the azo Schiff base and like elemental analyses (CHN), determinations of molar conductance, 1 H &13C NMR, IR mass and electronic spectroscopy .The elemental analyses exhibited the combination of [L: M] 1:1 ratio.
