This study investigated the impact of lime stabilization on the fate and transformation of AgNPs. It also evaluated the changes in the population and diversity of the five most relevant bacterial phyla in soil after applying lime-stabilized sludge containing AgNPs. The study was performed by spiking an environmentally relevant concentration of AgNPs (2 mg AgNPs/g TS) in sludge, applying lime stabilization to increase pH to above 12 for two hours, and applying lime-treated sludge to soil samples. It is obvious that there is a difference between the three strategic environments (conflict environment, peace environment, post- peace environment) in terms of inputs and strategies to deal with each one of them. There is an urgent need to understand each pattern separately, analyze its inputs, and identify the factors and variables that affect the continuity of this situation (conflict, peace, post-peace). Seventy five isolates of Saccharomyces cerevisiae were identified, they were isolated from different local sources which included decayed fruits and vegetables, vinegar, fermented pasta, baker yeast and an alcohol factory. Identification of isolates was carried out by cultural microscopical and biochemical tests. Ethanol sensitivity of the isolates showed that the minimal inhibitory concentration of the isolate (Sy18) was 16% and Lethal concentration was 17%. The isolate (Sy18) was most efficient as ethanol producer 9.36% (v/w).
