The approach of the research is to simulate residual chlorine decay through potable water distribution networks of Gukookcity. EPANET software was used for estimating and predicting chlorine concentration at different water network points . Data requiredas program inputs (pipe properties) were taken from the Baghdad Municipality, factors that affect residual chlorine concentrationincluding (pH ,Temperature, pressure ,flow rate) were measured .Twenty five samples were tested from November 2016 to July 2017.The residual chlorine values varied between ( 0.2-2mg/L) , and pH values varied between (7.6 -8.2) and the pressure was very weak inthis region. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the sewage treatment plant in Al-Diwaniya, one of cities in the southern part in Iraq. This evaluation could be used to facilitate effluent quality assessment or optimal process control of the plant. The influent reaching the plant is considered a medium to strong in strength with BOD5/COD ratio in the range 0.23 and 0.69 which can be considered an easily degradable sewage by the biological processes performed by the activated sludge unit. The quality of the effluent was found to be higher than the Iraqi standards for disposal to water bodies. The BOD5/COD ratios of the treated sewage varied over a wide range as low of 0.13 to 1.48 indicating operational problems in the plant. Regression ana

This research includes the using of statistical to improve the quality of can plastics which is produced at the state company for Vegetable oils (Almaamon factory ) by using the percentage defective control chart ( p-chart ) of a fixed sample. A sample of size (450) cans daily for (30) days was selected to determine the rejected product . Two EM techniques, terrain conductivity and VLF-Radiohm resistivity (using two
different instruments of Geonics EM 34-3 and EMI6R respectively) have been applied to
evaluate their ability in delineation and measuring the depth of shallow subsurface cavities
near Haditha city.
Thirty one survey traverses were achieved to distinguish the subsurface cavities in the
investigated area. Both EM techniques are found to be successfiul tools in study area.
