A descriptive correlative approach was adopted to fulfill the goals of the study and a questionnaire consisted of two criteria: social support and psychological rigidity, which was adopted as a tool for data collection for the study. Any pathological change in the masticatory system had a direct effect on the maximal mouth opening. Materials and methods: Four hundred children of both genders were included in this study, their age ranged from eight to ten years.
