The effect of relaxation music in reducing symptoms of dental anxiety
...Show More Authors

Many behavioral researchers pointed out the importance of relaxation techniques in the treatment of different psychological disorders where find  the importance of these techniques in reducing anxiety and stress and the resulted of behaviors and habits, with the development of these techniques are being used to gain public health, whether mental health or physical or mentality, and one of these techniques is music therapy that reduces tension and anxiety and operates a state of relaxation, which is used in the treatment of  patients of dental clinic.

Research problem:

Research problem Manifested in finding therapeutic way into account the psychological aspect (anxiety and stress)forClients dental clinic and to the extent that is appropriate and importance of physical aspect, because taking the physical aspect and focus on in therapy alone may not be enough as long as the psychological factor that causes the disorder continues in effect.

Importance of research and the need for it:

We can clarify the following indicators that demonstrate the importance of this research and the need to:

  1. Is an attempt to highlight the importance of relaxing music to relieve anxiety when dental treatment.
  2. Although the capacity and the large subject with its importance but the Arab Research and Studies and local communities in this area are a few when compared to the importance that has in many countries of the world. So to address this issue would increase the theoretical and practical knowledge in the present time and have a new addition to the library in Iraqi which has shortage in such studies

  Aim of study:

The current research aimed to achieve the following objectives:

There are nosignificant differences on (0.05) level in (pluses rate, the high (Systolic) and the low(Diastolic) blood pressure) to thegroup that listen to relaxationmusic and the group that don’t listen to relaxation music during treatment.

Border search:

The Current work is limited to adult clients from specialized dental clinic in A Specialized health center for Dentistry in AL ElWia, the side of Rusafa in the city ofBaghdad, for the period from10\3\ 2011 to 10\6\2011 and from both sexes.

Methods and subjects:

ASample consistsof200clients(males and females) were review patients (100 patients to listen to relaxationmusic and 100 without listening to it).

  1. Divided the sample into two groups and will be measuredblood pressure and pulse rate for both groups.

Results:

The results showed the existence of significant differences in blood pressure tension and heart rate among the first group that did not listen to music and the second group listened to music, as explained in detail in Chapter IV of the search. Through results the researchersconcluded that the importance of using relaxation music to relax patients which reduces the severity of anxiety and tension existing in many clients of dental clinics, and it is recommended to cooperation of psychiatrists clinicians, dentists and patients, as well as educate dentists and patients to benefit from psychosocial therapeuticprograms such as behavioral therapy and relaxation using soft music.

The research came out at the end a number of recommendations and suggestions.

Multiple Mixing Ratios of Gamma Rays Reaction 32 70 70 33 Ge p n As (, ) γ Using a2-ratio Method.

The δ-mixing of γ-transitions in 70As populated in the 32 70 70 33 Ge p n As (, ) γ reaction is calculated in the present work by using the a2-ratio methods. In one work we applied this method for two cases, the first one is for pure transition and the sacend one is for non pure transition, We take into account the experimental a2-coefficient for previous works and δ -values for one transition only. The results obtained are, in general, in a good agreement within associated errors, with those reported previously , the discrepancies that occur are due to inaccuracies existing in the experimental data of the previous works.

Single Nucleotide Polymorphism of Interleukin-28β Subunit Genes Predict Host Susceptibility to Hepatitis C virus (HCV) Infection among Iraqi Patients
...Show More Authors

Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a liver disease that affects14 million people. Feasible research was conducted for identifying the genotypes and allele frequency of some single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of the IL-28β genes and their predictive role in disease incidence in Iraqi patients. The SNPs (rs28416813, rs4803219, rs11881222, and rs8103142) of IL-28β have been associated with susceptibility to several diseases. Ninety eight (98) HCV patients were included in this research; with average age ± SE (42.28 ± 3.44) years. Also, 80 healthy people (with average age ± SE (29.40 ± 2.84) years) were included as a control group. The SNPs were detected by allele-specific PCR (polymerase chain reaction) using specific primers. The re

Fabrication and characterization of zinc oxide nanorods coated by graphene oxide ZnO-NR@GO as a potential hybrid material photocatalyst

Hybrid architecture of ZnO nanorods/graphene oxide ZnO-NRs@GO synthesized by electrostatic self-assembly methods. The morphological, optical and luminescence characteristics of ZnO-NRs@GO and ZnO-NRs thin films have been described by FESEM, TEM, HRTEM, and AFM, which refers to graphene oxide have been coated ZnO-NRs with five layers. Here we synthesis ZnO-NRs@GO by simple, cheap and environmentally friendly method, which made it favorable for huge -scale preparation in many applications such as photocatalyst. ZnO-NRs@GO was applied as a photocatalyst Rodamin 6 G (R6G) dye from water using 532 nm diode laser-induced photocatalytic process. Overall degradation of R6G/ ZnO-NRs@GO was achieved after 90 minutes of laser irradiation while it ne

Diversity and Geographical Distribution of Sand Flies Phlebotomus papatasi (Diptera: Phlebotominae) by using Geometric Morphometric Technique from two Iraqi Provinces
...Show More Authors

The variation in wing morphological features was investigated using geometric morphometric technique of the Sand Fly from two Iraqi provinces Babylon and Diyala . We distributed eleven landmarks on the wings of Sand Fly species. By using the centroid size and shape together, all species were clearly distinguished.  It is clear from these results that the wing analysis is an essential method for future geometric morphometry studies to distinguish the species of Sand Flies in Iraq.

Toxic and Antifeedant Effects of Different Pesticidal Plant Extracts against Beet Armyworm (<i>Spodoptera exigua</i>)
...Show More Authors

The beet armyworm (BAW), Spodoptera exigua (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) is a highly destructive pest of vegetables and field crops. Management of beet armyworm primarily relies on synthetic pesticides, which is threatening the beneficial community and environment. Most importantly, the BAW developed resistance to synthetic pesticides with making it difficult to manage. Therefore, alternative and environment-friendly pest management tactics are urgently required. The use of pesticidal plant extracts provides an effective way for a sustainable pest management program. To evaluate the use of pesticidal plant extracts against BAW, we selected six plant species (Lantana camara, Aloe vera, Azadirachta indica, Cymbopogon citratus, Nicotiana tabacum ,
