The level of school students understand the basic mathematical concepts Engineering Preparation

This study aims at recognizing the levels of comprehension of the students of basic schools to the concepts of mathematical geometric and discovering the existing of the differences among students in the level of understanding of the concepts of mathematical geometrical which is due to the change of gender.

The sample of the study is the students of Basic schools, eight level in the basic school of Erbil city, particularly 7-8-and 9 levels in the academic year 2013-2014. The sample consists of 444 students in both genders238 males and 206 females.

The tool of the study is test sheet included 20 items of multiple choice.  The items are valid since are given to a jury of experts in the field. The study found out the psychometric features of the tests through the chosen sample of the population of the study the process of pilot and final tests.

The suitable statistical instruments are used for getting the results.

The results are as follow as:

  • The levels of comprehending of the sample to mathematical geometric low according to the criteria have been used for this purpose by the researcher.
  • The significant difference is 0.05 in understanding the concepts of mathematical geometric among the students for the interest of female.

At the end of the research some suggestions and recommendations are presented.

Preparation and Formation of Zeolite 5A from Local Kaolin Clay for Drying and Desuphurization of Liquefied Petroleum Gas

This work deals with preparation of zeolite 5A from Dewekhala kaolin clay in Al-Anbar region for drying and desulphurization of liquefied petroleum gas. The preparation of zeolite 5A includes treating kaolin clay with dilute hydrochloric acid 1N, treating metakaolin with NaOH solution to prepare 4A zeolite, ion exchange, and formation. For preparation of zeolite 4A, metakaolin treated at different temperatures (40, 60, 80, 90, and 100 °C) with different concentrations of sodium hydroxide solution (1, 2, 3, and 4 N) for 2 hours. Predictability of Burnout in perceived self-competence among Mothers of Students with Disabilities at Sultanate of Oman

The current study aims to identify the predictability of burnout in perceived self-competence among mothers of students with disabilities in the Sultanate of Oman. The study sample consists of (484) respondents who were mothers of students with disabilities. The researcher developed a burnout Scale which consists of (19) items and a perceived self-competence Scale which consists of (20) items. A correlation descriptive design was used. The results showed that the level of burnout was low (Mean= 2.30), while the level of burnout was high (Mean= 3.87).
