The effect of 5555 strategy on reading comprehension among 4th preparatory students Assist. Waleed Khaled Talib Directorate – General For Education Province Of AL - Anbar The purpose of study is to identify the effect of 5555 strategy on reading comprehension among 4th preparatory students. To do this, null hypothesis was postulated. The author hypothesize that there is no a statistically significant difference at (0.05) level between experimental group's scores who study reading comprehension subject following the 5555 strategy and control group's scores who study the same subject following the traditional method in reading comprehension. The study comprised (66) student, whereby the experimental group was made up of (33) students, while the control group made up of (33) student were chosen from Al-Ramadi developed school for the academic year (2016-2017). The authors prepared a scale to measure the reading comprehension which consist of 4 question: question one composed of (18) item; question two made up of two paragraphs where asked to reorganize the words; question three consisted of ten matching items; and the question 4 contained ten items which asked to complete them. The result revealed that the experimental group has a statistically significant difference at (0.05) level.
Reading is an interactive process that goes on between the reader and the text, resulting in comprehension. The text presents letters, words, sentences, and paragraphs that encode meaning. The reader uses knowledge, skills, and strategies to determine what that meaning is. Reading comprehension is much more than decoding; it results when the reader knows which skills and strategies are appropriate for the type oftext, and understands how to apply them to accomplish the reading purpose.Reading comprehension is important because without it reading is nothing more than tracking symbols on a page with your eyes and sounding them out leaving the reader with no information. The Researcher has developed the cognitive absorption and E-Learning readiness scales. A correlational descriptive approach was adopted. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a Cognitive- Behavioral Training Program in reducing Problems Solving among a sample of education university College Students, the study sample consisted of (50) students were randomly assigned to two groups: experimental, and control; (25) students per group, the results of (ANOVA) revealed that there were significant differences at (p < 0.05) between experimental and control group in Problems Solving level, while there were significant differences between both groups in achievement.
