The purposes of study are to measure the perceived competence and the locus of control among sixth-grade students, to identify the statistical differences between the perceived competence and the locus of control among sixth-grade students regarding the variable of gender, achievement, and economical status, and lastly, explore the correlation relationship between perceived competence and locus of control among sixth-grade students, To do this, the researchers have constructed two scales: one to measure the perceived competence based on bandura's theory (social-cognitive theory) which consisted of (26) items and the other to measure the locus of control based on Rotter's theory (social-learning theory) which included (25) items. The sample comprised (500) sixth-grade students. The findings revealed that study sample has a high level of perceived competence, no significant differences between perceived competence and the locus of control regarding of gender, achievement, and economical status, and there is no correlation between perceived competence and the locus of control

This study tested the impact of region and gender on adolescents 'stress perceptions and coping styles. A total sample of 650 adolescents (5 9.4% female) from 2 countries (Iraq - Algeria). Samples of n = 325 were drawn from each country completed questionnaires on stress and coping behaviors in four domains (school, parents, peer, and future). Results revealed that levels of perceived stressfulness of issues in different domains were universally similar among adolescents from the two countries. ... Show MoreThis study was conducted to determine the relationship between test anxiety and cognitive representation among university students. To this end, 152 student (male, female) were chosen randomly from scientific and social departments to fill out the questionnaires of test anxiety and cognitive representation. The researcher utilized Independent Samples T-Test, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, Cronbach's alpha and T-Test in his study. The result revealed that there were negative and a weak correlation between test anxiety and cognitive representation among university students.
