The study aims at:
1- Identifying the contemporary educational approaches in teaching arts.
2- The effectiveness of using the visual thinking strategy in photography subject for the first year students in the institute of fine arts/Holy city of Kadhimiyah.
The study sample is made of (30 ) first year students (in the institute of fine arts/in Holy city of Kadhimiyah) distributed into two groups, an experimental group made of (15) students and a control group having the same number of students in order to conduct the test. The Kurds' positions were characterized by insistence on their rights during the monarchy and choosing various solutions to obtain independence. The aim of this study is to recognize the influence of model of active thinking in achievement ofeighth grade students andtheir visual thinking in science.The finds of this research show the superiority students of the experimental group who studied the science material by using the active thinking model on the students of the control group who studied by usual method, in the achievement test. Also the finds show that the students of the experimental group are more successful than students of control group in the test of visual thinking, so the two null hypotheses have been rejected. In light of the results of the research, numbers of recommendations were made.

الهدف من الدراسة هو معرفة أثر استراتيجيات التفكير البصري (VTS) على تحصيل طلاب الكلية في مهارات الاتصال باللغة الإنكليزية. ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة تم استخدام التصميم البعدي التجريبي. وتمثلت العينة بـ (70) من طلاب المرحلة الثانية بقسم اللغة الإنجليزية بكلية التربية. وقد تم اختيارهم عشوائياً وتقسيمهم إلى مجموعتين: المجموعة التجريبية والضابطة (35) طالباً في كل مجموعة. ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة تم بناء اختبار تحصيلي لمهارا
