Influence of Aging Time on Asphalt Pavement Performance
...Show More Authors

Aging of asphalt pavements typically occurs through oxidation of the asphalt and evaporation of the lighter maltenes from the binder. The main objective of this study is to evaluate influence of aging on performance of asphalt paving materials.nAsphalt concrete mixtures, were prepared, and subjected to short term aging (STA) procedure which involved heating the loose mixtures in an oven for two aging period of (4 and 8) hours at a temperature of 135 o C. Then it was subject to Long term aging (LTA) procedure using (2 and 5) days aging periods at 85 o C for Marshall compacted specimens. The effect of aging periods on properties of asphalt concrete at optimum asphalt content such as Marshall Properties, indirect tensile strength at 25 o C, Resilient Modulus and resistance to permanent deformation were evaluated. The impact of Short-term and long-term aging on asphalt concrete properties was evaluated. The stiffness of the mixture increases by increasing aging period that lead to increase of Marshall Stability, indirect tensile strength, and the resilient modulus, which leads to increases the resistance of mixtures against permanent deformation. The 8 hr. short term aging causes the Marshall stability, indirect tensile strength at 25 o C and resilient modulus to be increased by 52%, 34 % , 20% respectively as compared with control mixture while, the permanent deformation decreased by (33 %) as compared with control mixture.

Thermal Conductivity Performance of Silica Aerogel after Exposition on Different Heating under Ambient Pressure
...Show More Authors

The varied thermal conductivity (insulation) of silica aerogel with heating for different pH has been investigated, it has been depended on ambient pressure drying method in the preparing silica aerogel samples, also six different pH of samples (1, 2, 3, 7, 8 and 9) were treated under five degree of heating with (50,100,150,200 and 250) ᴼC. This technique is important to test the carry-outs hydrophobic silica to temperature without high-quality material changes in the basic characteristics. The hot-wire technique is used in this work to examine the thermal conductivity, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) depended to characterize the bonds and their artificial by heating. Experimental study on performance of laterally loaded plumb and battered piles in layered sand
...Show More Authors

This study introduces a series of single and pile group model tests subjected to lateral loads in . multilayered sand from Karbala, Iraq. The aim of this study is to investigate: the performance of the pile groups subjected to lateral loads; in which the pile batter inclination angle is changed; the effect of pile spacing (s/d) ratio, the influence of using different number of piles and pile group configuration. Results revealed that the performance of single negative (Reverse) Battered piles with inclination of 10° and 20° show a gain of 32% and 76 % in the ultimate lateral capacity over the regular ones. For pile groups, the use of a combination of regular, negative and positive battered piles in

The Effect of Knife Clearance on the Machine Performance in Disc Type Silage Machines
...Show More Authors

In this study, active knife and fixed knife of single-row disc silage machine has three different clearance C1, C2 and C3 (1, 3 and 5 mm) and it is tried in three different working speed V1, V2 and V3 (1.8, 2.5 and 3.7 km / h) and PTO speed (540 min-1) and machine's fuel consumption (l/h), average power consumption (kW), field energy consumption (kW/da), product energy consumption (kW/t), field working capacity (da/h), product working capacity (t/h) and Chopping size distribution characteristics of the fragmented material were determined. It has been found that knife-counter knife clearances smaller than 3 mm (1 mm) and larger (5 mm) have a negative effect on machine performance in general. In terms of fuel and power consumptions, the m

The Effect of Circular Perforation on a V-Corrugated Fin Performance under Natural Convection
...Show More Authors

An experimental investigation has been made to study the influence of using v-corrugated aluminum fin on heat transfer coefficient and heat dissipation in a heat sink. The geometry of fin is changed to investigate their performance. 27 circular perforations with 1 cm diameter were made. The holes designed into two ways, inline arrangement and staggered in the corrugated edges arrangement. The experiments were done in enclosure space under natural convection. Three different voltages supplied to the heat sink to study their effects on the fins performance. All the studied cases are compared with v-corrugated smooth solid fin. Each experiment was repeated two times to reduce the error and the data recorded after reaching t

Optimization the Effect of Electrode Material Change on EDM Process Performance Using Taguchi Method
...Show More Authors

Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) is a widespread Nontraditional Machining (NTM) processes for manufacturing of a complicated geometry or very hard metals parts that are difficult to machine by traditional machining operations. Electrical discharge machining is a material removal (MR) process characterized by using electrical discharge erosion. This paper discusses the optimal parameters of EDM on high-speed steel (HSS) AISI M2 as a workpiece using copper and brass as an electrode. The input parameters used for experimental work are current (10, 24 and 42 A), pulse on time (100, 150 and 200 µs), and pulse off time (4, 12 and 25 µs) that have effect on the material removal rate (MRR), electrode wear rate (EWR) and wear ratio (WR). THE IMPACT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON ACCOUNTING PERFORMANCE: SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AS A MEDIATING VARIABLE
...Show More Authors

The UN plans to achieve several development objectives by 2030. These objectives address global warming, a major issue. This method aims to improve sustainable accounting performance (AP). In this circumstance, AI is being applied in various fields, notably in economic, social, and environmental (ESE) domains. This research investigates how sustainable development (SD) influences AI methodologies and AP improvement. The research examined a sample of Iraqi banks listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange from 2014 to 2022. AI was measured by ATM and POS prevalence. A three-dimensional approach examined economic, social, and environmental (ESE) sustainability. Meanwhile, the performance of sustainable accounting was measured through the return on asse

High-Performance Multithreaded Acceleration of High-Order Discrete Racah Polynomials on Multi-Core Architectures
...Show More Authors

Discrete Racah polynomials (DRPs) are considered essential for several applications such as approximation theory, quantum physics, and digital signal processing. However, the computation of high-order DRPs presents significant numerical and computational challenges. Even though the recent advancements in algorithms have improved numerical stability, the inherently sequential nature of these algorithms continues to be a bottleneck for large-scale implementations. This paper proposes a new multithreading-based algorithm for computing the DRP coefficients. The proposed algorithm is designed to accelerate the computation of high-order DRPs by considering the advantages of the independence of different tasks and the ability to process mu
