This paper aims to improve the voltage profile using the Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) in the power system in the Kurdistan Region for all weak buses. Power System Simulation studied it for Engineers (PSS\E) software version 33.0 to apply the Newton-Raphson (NR) method. All bus voltages were recorded and compared with the Kurdistan region grid index (0.95≤V ≤1.05), simulating the power system and finding the optimal size and suitable location of Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM)for bus voltage improvement at the weakest buses. It shows that Soran and New Koya substations are the best placement for adding STATCOM with the sizes 20 MVAR and 40 MVAR. After adding STATCOM with the sizes [20MVAR and 40MVAR] at Soran to the test, it is seen that the total average change in voltage profile for the system improved results in about 17.34 % in average per unit change for the 28 weakest buses, which provides a good improvement in stability. Also, the system’s total active power loss reduced from 123.8 MW without STATCOM to 102.8 MW with STATCOM. The results are encouraging for applying the approach to the power system. This approach stands out due to all bus voltages are within acceptable ranges.
Nowadays, the field of radionuclide treatment is enjoying an exciting stage and preparing for further growth and progress in the future. For instance, in Asia, the large spread of liver and thyroid diseases has resulted in several new developments/clinical trials using molecular radiotherapy (i.e. targeted radionuclide therapy). Iodine-124 has unique physical properties including long half-life that adding an advantage for pharmacokinetics and radiopharmaceutical analysis. One of its applications in nuclear medicine is in Positron Emission Tomography (PET).
Background: Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG bacteria is a type of probiotic belonging to the Lactobacillus family; a beneficial bacteria found in the intestines. This study aimed to prepare soymilk from soybean seeds and to produce fermented milk using the probiotic bacteria L. Rhamnosus GG, supplemented with whey and some medicinal plants and to study the storage qualities. Methods: In This study Different lactic ferments were prepared, including: Treatment soybean and whey, in which soybean milk and whey were used in different percentage (30, 50 and 70%) and the probiotic bacteria starter Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG was added to this treatments, with the addition of some medicinal medicinal plants such as garlic, mint and paprika at a r

Show MoreThe general objective of the research is to better understand changes in land cover and their impact on climatic factors by measuring changes in land cover for the Baghdad city for the period 1999-2021 and evaluating changes in land cover and measuring changes in climatic factors (relative humidity and evaporation). This study from 1999 to 2021 and in two different seasons: the April of the growing season and August the dry season. When using the supervised classification method to determine the differences, the results showed remarkable changes, the study showed the spatial variations in LC from 1999 to 2021 as follows: increase in the vegetation and water bodies during April and decrease this in August while the soil and built up decreas

Augmented motor reality AMR is a new training model based on realistic movement combined with interactive virtual cues that may be useful to enhance spatial orientation and decision making. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of an AMR-based training program on spatial awareness and skill-based decision making in youth basketball players. Twenty-four male young basketball players aged 15.2±0.8 years were randomized to the experimental group n=12, receiving AMR training, and control group n=12, performing conventional practice. To fulfill the aims and verify the hypothesis which reads as follow” It is hypothesized that there is no statistically significant differences between the achievements of Experimental group and control group”. Thirty learners are selected to be the sample of present study.Mann-Whitney Test for two independent samples is used to analysis the results. The analysis shows that experimental group’s members who are taught according to problem based learning gets higher scores than the control group’s members who are taught according to traditional method. Show MoreLow-Density-Parity-Check (LDPC) codes are a cornerstone for achieving robust error correction capabilities in 5G New Radio applications, significantly improving the reliability of data transmission across noisy and unpredictable wireless channels. Since an evaluation and discussion of the performance with channel coding is significantly absent in two-dimensional Index Modulation (IM)-Differential Chaos Shift Keying (DCSK) schemes. Therefore, in this study, the 5G new radio LDPC codes based generalized joint subcarrier-time index modulation DCSK system (5G NR-LDPC-GJSTIM-DCSK) is proposed, where 5G NR-LDPC codes are used as channel coding. The aim is to improve the system’s performance specifically across AWGN (additive white gauss
