The current study showed that the plants were collected from 23 geographical locations in Brenaj, Wasit, Iraq. The region was characterized by a great diversity of wild plants spread densely in this region. The results were as follows: 32 families, 149 species. The aim of this study is to make the inventory for Umbelliferae family for the purpose of identifying the samples that were collected over long periods and saved in the herbarium of Iraq Natural History Museum/ University of Baghdad. We found that the herbarium plants were very large and varied from different parts for Iraq, in different and varied environments, which collected and arranged according to a very specific system in the herbarium for remaining an important source to all graduate students and researchers to take advantage for these plants. Also, the flowering and fruiting periods for these plants in Iraq were recorded in different regions. Most these plants begin to flower in the spring and thrive at fields and farms.

A total of 47 species belonging to 46 genera, 34 subfamilies, 23 families and 7 orders of predator and parasitoid insects were collected and identified. The survey was conducted throughout the program held by the General Directorate of Agriculture-Duhok, in cooperating with the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences in Duhok Province, Kurdistan Region, Iraq from May 2013 to April 2014.
The species hosts, collecting date, locality and distributions are given. The current checklist also included some species previously collected by other researchers in Duhok Province.
