This research examines how Al-Sabah newspaper addressed violations of women’s rights in Iraq. Using content analysis, a sample of 157 articles published from July 1, 2021, to December 31, 2021, was analyzed. The study reveals diverse journalistic treatments, with interpretive approaches employed in addressing violations of Iraqi women’s rights. Social violations of women’s rights were the primary focus, and various forms of newspaper articles, including opinion pieces, were commonly used.

The present study aims to detect CTX-M-type ESBL from Escherichia coli clinical isolates and to analyze their antibotic susceptibility patterns. One hundred of E. coli isolates were collected from different clinical samples from a tertiary hospital. ESBL positivity was determined by the disk diffusion method. PCR used for amplification of CTX-M-type ESBL produced by E. coli. Out of 100 E. coli isolates, twenty-four isolates (24%) were ESBL-producers. E. coli isolated from pus was the most frequent clinical specimen that produced ESBL (41.66%) followed by urine (34.21%), respiratory (22.23%), and blood (19.05%).  After PCR amplification of these 24 isolates, 10 (41.66%) isolates were found to possess CTX-M genes. The symposium was scheduled to be held on the 25th and 26th of March 2003 AD, but God Almighty decreed that our country be occupied, so the Preparatory Committee set another date for the symposium on 10/21/2003 AD.

By- products of corn starch industry were used to prepare media for propagation the lactic acid bacteria as a natural auxotroph. The by- products used were the corn steep water (S) and gluten extract (G) after a proper treatment to get them ready for media preparation. The results showed that it was possible to replace the peptone and meat extract by gluten extract in MRS medium. The growth was approximately similar to that obtained in standard MRS media.
