Serum Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein and Myelin Protein Zero as Diagnostic Biomarkers in Diabetic Neuropathy
...Show More Authors

Background: Diabetic neuropathy can affect any peripheral nerve, including sensory neurons, motor neurons, and the autonomic nervous system. Therefore, diabetic neuropathy has the potential to affect essentially any organ and can affect parts of the nervous system like the optic nerve, spinal cord, and brain. In addition, chronic hyperglycemia affects Schwann cells, and more severe patterns of diabetic neuropathy in humans involve demyelization. Schwann cell destruction might cause a number of changes in the axon. study aims to evaluate serum myelin protein level as a predicting marker in the diagnosis of diabetic neuropathy and to prevent early neuropathy complications of type 2 diabetes.

Subjects and methods: To achieve the purpose of the objective, this study involved 120 individuals divided into three groups. The first group included 40 healthy individuals; the second group included 40 type 2 diabetic patients with a diabetes duration of more than 5 years; and the last group included 40 type 2 diabetic patients with a diabetes duration of less than or equal to 5 years. The enzyme-linked immunesorbent assay (ELISA) system is used to detect serum MOG and MPZ.

Results: both groups of type 2 diabetes patients had significant (p≤ 0.05) increases in serum myelin protein zero P0 (MPZ) and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG).

Conclusion: According to the results, myelin protein can be used to diagnose patients with diabetic neuropathy at an early stage. But it did not rise to the level of a biomarker due to a lack of sensitivity

Comparison of microleakage Restorative Dentistry Comparison of microleakage in three different retrograde cavity preparations with Mineral Trioxide Aggregate as filling material
...Show More Authors

Background: The apical seal is the single most important factor in determining the success of surgical endodontics, the aim of this study was to compare the sealing ability of Mineral Trioxide Aggregate in three different cavity designs. Materials and Methods: Thirty extracted human single-rooted teeth were divided into three groups of ten teeth per group, a retrograde cavity preparation was carried out using a low speed handpiece and round bur with parallel walls in the first group, ultrasonic retrotip and unit in the second group and a low speed handpiece with a carbide inverted cone bur with undercuts in the third group, all the cavities were filled with MTA. microleakage was measured by dye penetration technique using methylene blue. Use of the Iraqi Song in the Orchestral Compositions of Hanz Moomer- (Foug Al-Nakhl) as a Model: فراس ياسين جاسم
...Show More Authors

The use of the Iraqi song in the symphony orchestra is one of the pioneering and important works, which carries with it an artistic value of aesthetic specificity in how to use the Iraqi singing heritage. The research aimed to identify the employment of the song (Foug Al-Nakhl) and its works within the Iraqi national symphony orchestra music by the author Hans Count Momer whose works still have a great influence on the authors of the Iraqi orchestra.  The researcher presented a brief introduction to the Iraqi Symphony Orchestra, a brief introduction about the author, and the trends of world music towards heritage. He also talked about musical composition, research procedures and tools, and applying the tool to the selected sample (F

Employment of Body Language in Television Advertising An Analytical Study of Al-Hayat TV Commercials (The Egyptian Series as a Model)
...Show More Authors

Whatever the designers of the advertisement in choosing the text and spoken phrases, those phrases cannot give or convey the full meaning to the recipient only if this spoken and written language is reinforced with another language based on the signals, movements, and symbols that are displayed using the body or other artistic elements of the advertisement such as pictures, colors, music, effects, and other elements used in the artistic construction of television advertising. All these artistic elements contribute to the completion of the advertising idea and make it ready to be displayed to the public.

Scientists and researchers, in the field of psychology, have relied a lot on this language (body language). And some of them put

Synthesis and Characterization of azo Compound 5-(2-Benzoic acid azo)-8-hydroxy quinoline as Bidentate Ligand and It’s Complexeswith Co (II), Ni (II) and Cu (II) .
...Show More Authors

Coupling reaction of 2-amino benzoic acid with the 8-hydroxy quinoline gave the azo ligand (H2L): 5-(2-benzoic acid azo )-8-hydroxy quinoline.Treatment of this ligand with some metal ions (CoII, NiII and CuII ) in ethanolic medium with a (1:2) (M:L) ratio yielded a series of neutral complexes with general Formula[M(HL)2],where: M=Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II), HL=anion azo ligand (-1).The prepared complexes were characterized using flame atomic absorption,FT-IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic methods as well as magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements.

SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION, AND THERMAL STUDYING OF Cr(III), Co(II), Fe(III) Mo(VI), Ru (III) and Rh(III) COMPLEXES WITH AZO DYE AND EVALUATION AS ANTIOXIDANT AND ANTICANCER
...Show More Authors

Complexes of the Cr(III), Fe(III), Rh(III), Ru (III), Mo hexagonal valence and Co(II) were prepared using the azo dye 1,1'-(1,3-phenylene bis(diazene-2,1-diyl))bis(2,4,6-trihydroxy-3,1-phenylene))bis(ethan-1-one), which was prepared newly from diazonium salt with 2,4,6-trihydroxyacetophenone, after isolation. The compounds were characterized using proton and carbon nuclear magnetic resonance of the ligand and fine elemental analysis, infrared, ultraviolet-visible, mass measurement, thermogravimetric analysis, differential thermal scanning, metal percentage determination, chlorine content determination, magnetic susceptibility, and molar conductivity. The results showed that the tetra coordinated anionic bond, when linked to metal ions via t

Evaluating Expression of the STAG1 Gene as a Potential Breast Cancer Biomarker
...Show More Authors

STAG proteins, which are part of the cohesin complex and encoded by the STAG genes, are known as Irr1/Scc3 in yeast and as SA/STAG/stromalin in mammals. There are more variants as there are alternate splice sites, maybe three open reading frames (ORFs) code for three main proteins, including: SA1 (STAG1), SA2 (STAG2) and SA3 (STAG3). The cohesin protein complex has various essential roles in eukaryotic cell biology. This study compared the expression of the STAG1 gene in four different breast cancer cell lines, including: MCF-7, T-47D, MDA-MB-468, and MDA-MB-231 and normal breast tissue. RNA was extracted from these cell lines and mRNA was converted to cDNA, and then expression of the STAG1 gene was quantified by three sets of specific prim

Urban improvement, a mechanism of tourism development: Tébessa (Algeria) as a model
...Show More Authors

The tourism industry has become, currently, an art, an industry and a science. It is also one of the components that make up touristic regions. Tourist attractions are no longer the exclusive visits of museums and archeological sites, but also involve other service facilities. It is, therefore, imperative that the authorities should become aware of the degradation of tourist resorts and prevent them from getting worse. Moreover, the authorities should take a set of decisions concerning the protection of the urban aspect with its historical, social, and environmental dimensions, as well as, adapting it to the modern requirements that can bring comfort to the citizens and tourists at physical and psychological levels.
