Integration Balanced Scorecard and technology( TDABC) technology to achieve competitive advantage
...Show More Authors

Abstract

That the reduction of costs for products and services provided by economic units is one of the main concerns at the present time to keep pace with competition in the markets, economic units are always striving to stay competitive in a modern business environment and achieve a competitive advantage, (TDABC) in the General Company for Electrical and Electronic Industries / Air cooler engine plant to reduce the costs facing the economic units under the circumstances of the Iraqi environment, especially the industrial, and the need for development events in traditional methods (TDABC) as a technology for reducing costs by relying on time guidelines. The research also concluded that the financial and non-financial information provided by TDABC, As an input to Balanced Scorecard (BSC) technology, it is an important database that helps to achieve development, improvement and cost reduction objectives for economic units. The most important recommendations of the researcher to work on the integration of the balanced scorecard and TDABC technology to contribute to the formation of a strong administrative system helps in achieving the objectives of economic units, including reducing the cost of products and provide information on the cost and profitability of the products they provide, and contribute to the identification of resource requirements and The company uses the TDABC technology to help reduce product costs by using time equations, highlighting unused energy that can be avoided, and contributing to providing  more accurate information on the costs of production processes that are necessary to improve the production processes of the research sample company.

The interaction of Porphyromonas gingivalis with host epithelial cells and its relevance to periodontal disease
...Show More Authors

Periodontitis is one of the most prevalent bacterial diseases affecting man with up to 90% of the global population affected. Its severe form can lead to the tooth loss in 10-15% of the population worldwide. The disease is caused by a dysbiosis of the local microbiota and one organism that contributes to this alteration in the bacterial population is Prophyromonas gingivalis. This organism possesses a range of virulence factors that appear to contribute to its growth and survival at a periodontal site amongst which is its ability to invade oral epithelial cells. Such an invasion strategy provides a means of evasion of host defence mechanisms, persistence at a site and the opportunity for dissemination to other sites in the mouth. However, p

Compare to the conditional logistic regression models with fixed and mixed effects for longitudinal data
...Show More Authors

Mixed-effects conditional logistic regression is evidently more effective in the study of qualitative differences in longitudinal pollution data as well as their implications on heterogeneous subgroups. This study seeks that conditional logistic regression is a robust evaluation method for environmental studies, thru the analysis of environment pollution as a function of oil production and environmental factors. Consequently, it has been established theoretically that the primary objective of model selection in this research is to identify the candidate model that is optimal for the conditional design. The candidate model should achieve generalizability, goodness-of-fit, parsimony and establish equilibrium between bias and variab

MEASURING RETURNSS TO SCALE, DISTRIBUTION EFFICIENCY AND ESTIMATING WHEAT PRODUCTION FUNCTION IN DHI QAR PROVINCE
...Show More Authors

The aim of this research was to estimate the production function to measure returns to scale and distribution efficiency of  resources used in the production of wheat. Cross sectional data used of a random sample of 130 farmers in Dhi Qar Province. The results of the quantitative analysis of estimating production function showed that the double logarithmic form was the best estimated model based on economic and statistical indicators. However, that form suffered from heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation, so the robust regression technique was chosen. Value of returns to scale was 0.89 and this indicates decreasing returns to scale. This means that production function is in the second stage of the function. The results of the dist

Correlation between BOD5 and COD for Al-Diwaniyah wastewater treatment plants to obtain biodegradability indices.
...Show More Authors

The present study aims to establish an empirical correlation between biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) of the sewage flowing in Al-Diwaniyah wastewater treatment plant. The strength of the wastewater entering the plant varied from medium to high. High concentrations of BOD5 and COD in the effluent were obtained due to the poor performance of the plant. This was observed from the BOD5 /COD ratios that did not confirm with the typical ratios for the treated sewage. Regression equations for BOD5 and COD removal percentages were suggested which can be used to evaluate rapid effluent assessment after the treatment processes or optimal process control to improve the performance of wastewater treatment plants.

Development and Assessment of Feed Forward Back Propagation Neural Network Models to Predict Sunshine Duration
...Show More Authors

The duration of sunshine is one of the important indicators and one of the variables for measuring the amount of solar radiation collected in a particular area. Duration of solar brightness has been used to study atmospheric energy balance, sustainable development, ecosystem evolution and climate change. Predicting the average values of sunshine duration (SD) for Duhok city, Iraq on a daily basis using the approach of artificial neural network (ANN) is the focus of this paper. Many different ANN models with different input variables were used in the prediction processes. The daily average of the month, average temperature, maximum temperature, minimum temperature, relative humidity, wind direction, cloud level and atmosp

The Strategies of Individuality to Resist Authority: Foucauldian Study of Orwell’s 1984 and Antoon’s I’jaam
...Show More Authors

To approach the problem of individual oppression with an international perspective drawing on Foucauldian concepts, this paper compares George Orwell’s 1984 (1949) and the Iraqi Sinan Antoon’s I’jaam (2004), which was translated into English in 2007. Even though Orwell and Antoon come from dissimilar cultural backgrounds, religions and epochs, they have tackled the issue of individuals’ oppression through their oppressed characters in a strikingly similar way. Hence, by applying the theories of both the American School of Comparative Literature and Foucauldian concepts, the current study attempts to establish a relationship between the Western and Eastern ways of dealing with the issue of oppression as an international problem in au

The Relationship between Willingness to Communicate in English and Psychological Adjustment of Iraqi EFL Learners
...Show More Authors

The current research aims to examine the willingness to communicate and psychological adjustment of Iraqi EFL undergraduate students. To achieve the main aim, a sample of 100 male and female Iraqis’ undergraduate students studying English as a foreign language was chosen randomly from two different public colleges in Baghdad city for the academic year 2023-2024. Two scales have five Likert alternatives of 17 and 16 items developed by McCroskey & Richmond (1990) and Wais (2010), respectively were administered to the research sample to collect the needed data. The results revealed that Iraqi EFL undergraduate students have a willingness to communicate in the English language. Iraqi EFL undergraduate students have a good level of
