Preparation of identical independent photons is the core of many quantum applications such as entanglement swapping and entangling process. In this work, Hong-Ou-Mandel experiment was performed to evaluate the degree of indistinguishability between independent photons generated from two independent weak coherent sources working at 640 nm. The visibility was 46%, close to the theoretical limit of 50%. The implemented setup can be adopted in quantum key distribution experiments carried out with free space as the channel link, as all the devices and components used are operative in the visible range of the electromagnetic spectrum.

In this paper the queuing system (M/Er/1/N) has been considered in equilibrium. The method of stages introduced by Erlang has been used. The system of equations which governs the equilibrium probabilities of various stages has been given. For general N the probability of j stages of service are left in the system, has been introduced. And the probability for the empty system has been calculated in the explicit form.

A QR code is a type of barcode that can hold more information than the familiar kind scanned at checkouts around the world. The “QR” stands for “Quick Response”, a reference to the speed at which the large amounts of information they contain can be decoded by scanners. They are being widely used for advertising campaigns, linking to company websites, contest sign-up pages and online menus. In this work the analysis of laser beam profile system ,using a two dimensional CCD (Charge Coupled Device) arrays, is established. The system is capable of producing video graphics that give a two dimensional image of laser beam. The video graphics system creates color distribution that represent the intensity distribution of the laser beam or the energy profile of the beam. The software used is capable of analyzing and displaying the profile in four different methods that is , color code intensity contouring , intensity shareholding, intensity cross section along two dimension x-y, and three dimensional plot of the beam intensity given in the same display.
