The Importance of Liquidity and Profitability in Enhancing the Banking Value in Private Banks for the Period 2016 - 2019
...Show More Authors

The article aims to study the liquidity that is required to be provided optimally and the profitability that is required to be achieved by the bank, and the impact of both of them on the value of the bank, and their effect of both liquidity and profitability on the value of the bank. Hence, the research problem emerged, which indicates the extent of the effect of liquidity and profitability on the value of the bank. The importance of the research stems from the main role that commercial banks play in the economy of a country. This requires the need to identify liquidity in a broad way and its most important components, and how to measure it. For the purpose of avoiding liquidity risks, liquidity should be managed by urging the bank to adopt good liquidity management and to achieve the profits that the bank wants to achieve by employing the liquidity available to it. It represents an important factor for increasing profits and increasing the confidence of shareholders and depositors; thus, maximizing the wealth of shareholders and the bank's wealth and, hence, raising the bank value. Consequently, this article is based on a main hypothesis that "there is no effect of profitable and liquidity on the bank value". This in turn is divided into two sub-hypotheses as follows:

H1.  There is no effect of quick liquidity on the bank value.

H2. There is no effect of the return on deposits on the bank value

In order to achieve the objectives and hypotheses of the study, the mathematical indicators were studied and analyzed to find the relationship between the variables and the effect according to statistical methods, where the research used the a simple regression statistical method, Is used by using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), and the quantitative measures, which included such indicators as the quick liquidity indicators to measure liquidity, the return on deposits to measure profitability, and Tobin's Q bank value measurement. The research sample consisted of four private banks (Middle East Bank, Gulf Bank, Al-Ahli Bank and Bank of Baghdad) for the period from 2016 to 2019. The most important conclusions reached by the research were the lack of effect of both the liquidity and profitability on the value of the bank. The research gave a number of recommendations, the most important of which is to urge banks to reduce the excess liquidity ratios and exploit them in different investment fields, as well as to go towards resources that achieve higher profitability rates than others that are characterized by their low cost. The research also recommended not to keep excess liquidity ratios at a high rate because of their effect on the profitability that the bank seeks to achieve

Effective quality control of a municipal wastewater treatment plant using Geographic information systems: A Review
...Show More Authors

Inefficient wastewater disposal and wastewater discharge problems in water bodies have led to increasing pollution in water bodies.  Pollutants in the river contribute to increasing the biological oxygen demand (BOD), total suspended solids (SS), total dissolved solids (TDS), chemical oxygen demand (COD), and toxic metals render this water unsuitable for consumption and even pose a significant risk to human health. Over the last few years, water conservation has been the subject of growing awareness and concern throughout the world, so this research focused on review studies of researches that studied the importance of water quality of wastewater treated disposal in water bodies and modern technology to management w

Virtual failure influence of Roseires dam on Khartoum city using HEC-RAS Hydraulic simulation modeling
...Show More Authors

Dam break is series phenomenon that can result in fatal consequences and loss of properties. Unfortunately, the observed consequences can only be available after the dam breaks. Therefore, it is important to anticipate what will happen prior to dam break to issue suitable warning and locate the possible risk areas. This study attempts to simulate the case of dam break in Blue Nile at Roseires dam and see its consequences downstream. Roseires dam lies at a distance of 630 km south of Khartoum, Sennar dam lies at about 260 km downstream of Roseires dam. In this study hydraulic model is developed based of Hydraulic Engineering Centre (HEC), River Analysis System (RAS), and HEC- RAS. The HEC-RAS based model is calibrated and validated usi

Experimental Investigation of Composite Circular Encased GFRP I-Section Concrete Columns under Different Load Conditions
...Show More Authors

Pultruded materials made of Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) come in a broad range of shapes, such as bars, I-sections, C-sections, etc. FRP materials are starting to compete with steel as structural materials owing to their great resistance, low self-weight, and cheap maintenance costs, especially in corrosive conditions. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a novel concrete Composite Column (CC) using Encased I-Section (EIS) as a reinforcement in contrast to traditional steel bars by using Glass Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) as I-section (CC-EIS) to evaluate the effectiveness of the hybrid columns which have been built by combining GFRP profiles with concrete columns. To achieve the aims of this study, nine circular co

Removal of Methyl Orange from Aqueous Solutions by Adsorption Using Corn Leaves as Adsorbent Material
...Show More Authors

A comparative study was done on the adsorption of methyl orange dye (MO) using non-activated and activated corn leaves with hydrochloric acid as an adsorbent material. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) were utilized to specify the properties of adsorbent material. The effect of several variables (pH, initial dye concentration, temperature, amount of adsorbent and contact time) on the removal efficiency was studied and the results indicated that the adsorption efficiency increases with the increase in the concentration of dye, adsorbent dosage and contact time, while inversely proportional to the increase in pH and temperature for both the treated and untreated corn leav

Absorption Coefficient of a Double-Layer Inhomogeneous Micro-perforated Panel Backed with Multiple Cavity Depths
...Show More Authors

Double-layer micro-perforated panels (MPPs) have been studied extensively as sound absorption systems to increase the absorption performance of single-layer MPPs. However, existing proposed models indicate that there is still room for improvement regarding the frequency bands of absorption for the double-layer MPP. This study presents a double-layer MPP formed with two single MPPs with inhomogeneous perforation backed by multiple cavities of varying depths. The theoretical formulation is developed using the electrical equivalent circuit method to calculate the absorption coefficient under a normal incident sound. The simulation results show that the proposed model can produce absorption coefficient with wider absorption bandwidth compared w
