The Effect of Adapting IFRS 15 on Auditing Procedures for Auditors in Iraqi Environment
...Show More Authors

The purpose of the International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS 15) is to determine the basis for reporting useful information to the users of financial reports on the nature, amount, timing and uncertainty about revenues and cash flows arising from a contract with a customer. It is based on specific conditions for recognizing revenue from the contract. When the two parties to the contract or one of them fulfil the performance obligations, specifically after the customer has the ability to exercise control over the product or service that is the subject of the contract. As a result of the failure of the revenue reporting requirements in the Iraqi environment to provide adequate and honestly representative information on the outcome of the activity and the financial position as a result of the failure of the unified accounting system to provide an appropriate mechanism for measuring, recognizing and disclosing the revenue compared to the requirements of the International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS 15), Consequently, the deficiency of audit program
and guide issued by the Federal Office of Financial Supervision, which was limited to its procedures limited to a specific type of activity, as well as the absence of audit programs approved by local auditing firms and account auditors in private offices, so the matter requires indicating the importance of adopting the international financial reporting standard (IFRS 15) and the impact of this on the audit procedures that must be approved by auditors when auditing revenues, and the researchers based on the opinions of a sample of academics and professionals in this field by designing a questionnaire that focused on the importance of adopting the above standard and indicating the impact of the adoption on revenue audit procedures in the Iraqi environment. Based on two hypotheses:

Hypothesis 1: There are significant differences in significance regarding the importance of adopting the International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS 15).

Hypothesis 2: There are significant differences in significance regarding the impact of adopting the IFRS 15 standard on revenue audit procedures in the Iraqi environment.

The research sample was represented by (academics) faculty members in Iraqi universities represented by professors in accounting departments in them, as well as account auditors (professionals) working in private auditing offices and companies, as well as account auditors working in the Federal Office of Financial Supervision, since they have the ability to read And understanding the guidance contained in the new international financial reporting standards, including the International Financial Reporting Standard (15) “Recognition of revenue from contracts with customers

Color stability of nano resin-modified glass Ionomer restorative cement after acidic and basic medications challenge
...Show More Authors

Background: Color stability of glass ionomers (GIs) could be affected by many factors such as pH and consumption of liquid medications like antibiotics. Most common antibiotics used during childhood are amoxicillin suspension (AM.S) and azithromycin suspension (AZ.S) which have acidic and basic pH respectively. Aim: to evaluate and compare the effect of AM.S and AZ.S on color stability of nano resin-modified GI. Methods: Thirty disc of nano resin-modified glass ionomer (2mm height x 4mm diameter) were divided into three groups (n=10 for each) and independently exposed to AM.S, AZ.S, and artificial saliva (A.S.). Color stability was evaluated in triplicate by VITA Easyshade® before and after three immersion protocols, repeated over

Rapid analysis and separation of fifteen beta-lactam drugs using reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography
...Show More Authors

Beta-lactam medications are among the commonly used antibiotics. These drugs kill germs by disrupting cell wall formation. This drug treats bacterial infections in numerous body sections. A new, quick, high-performance liquid chromatography approach has been developed and verified by the FDA and EMA for the simultaneous estimation of drugs in their medicinal and pure forms. This study deals with the determination of beta-lactam drugs (Amoxicillin, Ampicillin, Cephalexin, Cefotaxime, Cefoxitin, Cefamandole, Cephalothin, Piperacillin, Penicillin, Oxacillin, Cloxacillin, Nafcillin, Carbenicillin, Mezlocillin, Dicloxacillin) by a Reversed-Phase High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (RP-HPLC) technique based on an UV detector using a

Removal of Ni(II), Pb(II), and Cu(II) from Industrial Wastewater by Using NF Membrane
...Show More Authors

This article reviews the technical applicability of nanofiltration membrane process for the removal of nickel, lead, and copper ions from industrial wastewater.

Synthetic industrial wastewater samples containing Ni(II), Pb(II), and Cu(II) ions at various concentrations (50, 100, 150 and 200 ppm), under different pressures (1, 2, 3 and 4 bar), temperatures (10, 20, 30 and 40 oC), pH (2, 3, 4, 5 and 5.5), and flow rates (1, 2, 3 and 4 L/hr), were prepared and subjected treated by NF systems in the laboratory. Suitable NF membrane was chosen after testing a number of NF membranes (University of Technology-Baghdad), in terms of production and removal. NF system was capable of removing more than (85%, 78%, and 66% for Ni(II

Solving Optimal Control Linear Systems by Using New Third kind Chebyshev Wavelets Operational Matrix of Derivative
...Show More Authors

In this paper, a new third kind Chebyshev wavelets operational matrix of derivative is presented, then the operational matrix of derivative is applied for solving optimal control problems using, third kind Chebyshev wavelets expansions. The proposed method consists of reducing the linear system of optimal control problem into a system of algebraic equations, by expanding the state variables, as a series in terms of third kind Chebyshev wavelets with unknown coefficients. Example to illustrate the effectiveness of the method has been presented.

Behavior of RC Beams Strengthened with NSM-CFRP Strips Subjected to Fire Exposure: A Numerical Study
...Show More Authors

The use of Near-Surface Mounted (NSM) Carbon-Fiber-Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) strips is an efficient technology for increasing flexural and shear strength or for repairing damaged Reinforced Concrete (RC) members. This strengthening method is a promising technology. However, the thin layer of concrete covering the NSM-CFRP strips is not adequate to resist heat effect when directly exposed to a fire or at a high temperature. There is clear evidence that the strength and stiffness of CFRPs severely deteriorate at high temperatures. Therefore, in terms of fire resistance, the NSM technique has a significant defect. Thus, it is very important to develop a set of efficient fire protection systems to overcome these disadvantages. This pape

Formulation and Assessment of Delayed/Slow-Release Diclofenac Sodium Edible Organogel Utilizing Low Molecular Weight Organogelators
...Show More Authors

Organogel as a system was to estimate its capacity to delay and slow the drug release in the duodenum. The gelators, 12HSA (12-hydroxystearic acid), span 60. span 40 were used; the castor oil (CO) and anise oil (AO) also represented the liquid phase. To achieve the goal of this work was by using diclofenac sodium (DS). Organogels specifications were by estimating thermal attitude using tabletop rheology and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The organogel strength study was by applying oscillatory rheology tests the amplitude sweep and the frequency sweep. Realizing the morphology of the organogel was done utilizing an optical microscope. CO and AO binding capacity was also manifested. The transition temperatures for all organogels
