This study aimed to recognize and understand the concept of strategic management accounting (SMA) and how it's the effect on the competitive advantage for industrial companies in Jordan. The study's importance arises due to the lack of Arab studies that dealt with this topic, in addition to the important and vital role of strategic management accounting on companies that represent the artery of the decision-making process, and to identify the benefits associated with SMA technology. The necessary data were collected through the literature review and theoretical study of the references that relevant to the study subject, in addition to a questionnaire developed for this purpose, the study used (124) out of (250) questionnaires that were distributed to the higher departments in the industrial companies in Jordan. Plus, to achieve the study goals, the SPSS statistical program was used to analyze data and to discover the nature of the impact. The mean and standard deviations were calculated, in addition to the regression and correlation test to elaborate on the natural relation between study variables that were analyzed. The concept of strategic management accounting was measured by (the concept of strategic cost, the concept of nine The strategic t and the concept of the brand) and the competitive advantage was measured through (achieved profits, product quality, customer satisfaction, product development, and market share). The study concluded that companies in Jordan practice this concept, furthermore the result indicated that there is a statistically significant effect of the SMA concept on competitive advantage. The study also concluded that SMA techniques is not a complete alternative for traditional accounting managerial, but it is also complementary to it. The study also recommended that companies are required to set long-term strategic goals due to their impact on competition and environmental changes. The study also concluded that the SMA differs in its comparison with the practice of managerial accounting and was adopted by industrial companies in Jordan as a principle of operation and not as a theoretical concept.
To accommodate utilities in buildings, different sizes of openings are provided in the web of reinforced concrete deep beams, which cause reductions in the beam strength and stiffness. This paper aims to investigate experimentally and numerically the effectiveness of using carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) strips, as a strengthening technique, to externally strengthen reinforced concrete continuous deep beams (RCCDBs) with large openings. The experimental work included testing three RCCDBs under five-point bending. A reference specimen was prepared without openings to explore the reductions in strength and stiffness after providing large openings. Openings were created symmetrically at the center of spans of the other specimens

Show MoreNon-prismatic reinforced concrete (RC) beams are widely used for various practical purposes, including enhancing architectural aesthetics and increasing the overall thickness in the support area above the column, which gives high assurance to services that this will not result in the distortion of construction features and can reduce heights. The hollow sections (recess) can also be used for the maintenance of large structural sections and the safe passage of utility lines of water, gas, telecommunications, electricity, etc. They are generally used in large and complex civil engineering works like bridges. This study conducted a numerical study using the commercial finite element software ANSYS version 15 for analysing RC beams, hol

Endophytic fungi are found within medicinal plants and have shown strong biologic activity, such as anticancer and antioxidant activities, as well as producing extracellular enzymes. In this study, different fungal strains were isolated from the leaves of the medicinal plant Ziziphus spina, including Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus niger, Cladosporium sp., Rhizopus sp., and Mucor sp. Extracellular enzymes have been quantified using agar plate-based methods in which fungi were grown in specified growth media to detect the enzymes produced. The results showed that A. niger has the highest ability to produce amy

However, RCA’s inherent limitations, such as high porosity, microcracking, and poor interfacial bonding, compromise the structural integrity and durability of asphalt mixtures. This study introduces sugarcane molasses (SCM), a naturally derived, carbohydrate-rich byproduct of sugarcane refining, as a novel and eco-friendly surface treatment for RCA aimed at enhancing its compatibility with asphalt binders. SCM was applied at 5-6% by weight of RCA replacing coarse aggregate at varying levels (0-100%) to assess its effect on asphalt mixture performance. A com
... Show MoreThis paper aims to study the second-order geometric nonlinearity effects of P-Delta on the dynamic response of tall reinforced concrete buildings due to a wide range of earthquake ground motion forces, including minor earthquake up to moderate and strong earthquakes. The frequency domain dynamic analysis procedure was used for response assessment. Reinforced concrete building models with different heights up to 50 stories were analyzed. The finite element software ETABS (version 16.0.3) was used to analyze reinforced concrete building models.
The study reveals that the percentage increase in buildings' sway and drift due to P-Delta effects are nearly constant for specific building height irrespective of the seism
