زاد اهتمام الباحثين في السنوات الاخيرة بنماذج الانحدار شبه المعلمية وذلك اذ يمكن من خلالها دمج نماذج الانحدار اللامعلمي والمعلمي في ان واحد ومن ثم تكوين انموذج انحدار يتميز بامكانية التعامل مع مشكلة تعدد الابعاد الموجودة في النماذج اللامعلمية والتي تحصل عند زيادة عدد المتغيرات التوضيحية الداخلة في التحليل و من ثم تناقص دقة التقدير.  فضلا عن امتياز هذا النوع من النماذج بمرونة في المجال التطبيقي مقارنةً

The acceptance sampling plans for generalized exponential distribution, when life time experiment is truncated at a pre-determined time are provided in this article. The two parameters (α, λ), (Scale parameters and Shape parameters) are estimated by LSE, WLSE and the Best Estimator’s for various samples sizes are used to find the ratio of true mean time to a pre-determined, and are used to find the smallest possible sample size required to ensure the producer’s risks, with a pre-fixed probability (1 - P^*). The result of estimations and of sampling plans is provided in tables.

Natural convection heat transfer is experimentally investigated for laminar air flow in a vertical circular tube by using the boundary condition of constant wall heat flux in the ranges of (Ra_L) from (1.1*10⁹) to (4.7*10⁹). This study investigates the surgical and thermal effects on oral soft tissues produced by CO2 laser emitting at 10.6 micrometers with three different fluences 490.79, 1226.99 and 1840.4 J/cm2. These effects are specifically; incision depth, incision width and the tissue damage width and depth. The results showed that increasing the fluence and /or the number of beam passes increase the average depths of ablation. Moreover, increasing the fluence and the number of beam passes increase the adjacent tissue damage in width and depth. Surgeons using CO2 laser should avoid multiple pulses of the laser beam over the same area, to avoid unintentional tissue damage.

This work focused on principle of higher order mode excitation using in- line Double Clad Multi-Mode Mach-Zehnder Interferometer (DC-MM-MZI). The DC-MM-MZI was designed with 50 cm etched MMF.
